This is also a great video for someone learning to ride a trike as well. Due to medical reasons I have had to give up two wheels and have nearly finished getting my trike on the road. Thank you.
Hi i have same model. Making a new fuel tank from kevlar now. Bike is amazing. Just by changing the exhaust silencer i got easy 3hp more. Cheers from South Africa
Good on ya mate! Lovely bike and stunning sidecar! It's great to see it from an Aussie perspective 🙂 I've just fitted an Inder sidecar to my Royal Enfield Bullet 500 and I'm loving it. It's been a steep learning curve but I am starting to feel very comfortable with driving it. Thanks for your tips!
the requirement for handbrake and sidecar brakes in Australia varies from state to state. In Victoria, where I am based there is no requirement for a hand brake or sidecar brake. In other states a hand brake may be required. The new CJ 650 sidecar motorcycle has brakes to all thee wheels controlled from the bike which seems pretty good. Personally I would prefer not to have a brake on the sidecar wheel as it could result in the outfit being pulled to one side under brakes if not properly adjusted.
Well, if I stopped Listening after he said he has had it for 25 years. I would have big respect. But the rest of the story...That Evo" Better be, ONE BAD MAMMER JAMMER #over 100ci to out run my 1200cc shovel. And your gunna have to lose about 50lbs as well. P.s it wasn't an 80ci back then it was a 74.
Hi there I'm in a talk to buy a tt600 , from 96 I've seen you have a extra fuel tank, and looks a great idea, since the stock one is too small... Where can I get that? How does it work. Nice video tho😊
I remember reading a magazine back in the day where the XY GT-HO phase 3 was the fastest 4 door sedan in the world and lost its place to the Aston Martin Lagonda, which may be so but that turned out to be an unreliable shitbox and history shows that they’re not worth anywhere near what the Fords were /are bringing Anywsy
The first bike a shovel FXR the best handling bike ever made claimed by many And was designed by Eric Buell, his first design working at Harley Rode one once a Evo though, it did Handle very well for a Harley
I’ve a manual 3 litre S Type and it’s fantastic. Especially considering that I paid £175.00 for it from a front garden. It was an MOT failure but the garage had lied. It only needed a sidelight bulb. I used it for a trip to Tuscany and back and it didn’t miss a beat. They’ll have to prise the keys from my cold dead fingers 😂.
@@clivejefferson After a week those are my feelings.....truly...a "friend" of mine Tried to tell me this was no good and just a "flip car" ..........we are no longer friends
I ride a sidecar hack, and never met one that didn’t benefit from a steering stabilizer. Mine actually has 2. And for any newer riders out there, don’t ride without gear. Skin grafts suck…..(Trust me).
A buddy of mine has one for sale, decent condition and price.. tempting, even though I have more modern/ powerful bikes already.. there is just something about them.. so simple, reliable and, if you ar r patient, can go almost anywhere ;)
The one in in the vlog is fitted with yz front and rear suspension. Makes it handle much better than stock and gets you even more places. If your mate still has his for sale it would be well worth buying. They are a great bike
@@handcraftedhooligans9962 same (basically) year YZ suspension? Forks complete w/ triple clamps, swingarm etc?? Look like higher bars too... maybe you are tall?
I hope you do get to take it Scotland or Germany soon. Yu will love it. Great cars for open roads! Drop it into sports mode and use the J gate. They're quick!
@@handcraftedhooligans9962 I will, thanks. It’s in the garage right now because I’m only getting 12 miles to a gallon no matter how economically I drive. I’m hoping there’s a leak somewhere. or that the lean mix issue I had is still the problem. otherwise I just can’t afford it.
I have a '99 4.0 with sunroof in Pacific blue. 50k miles. Geoff Lawson was spot on. Ian Callum messed it up a little. 4.0 is similar fuel as 3.0. Can't think why you wouldn't love it. Expansion tank is obsolete and very weak.
The factory where they were built (castle Bromwich Birmingham uk) is where they built the spitfire plane in the old days. The traffic island outside the jaguar plant is Called spitfire island.
Hi. We had a 1996 XK8 a few years back and loved it. Bought a 2007 S-Type 3.0 a couple of months ago and really loving this one too. Totally agree about the similar 'feel' inside. Looking forward to every kilometre in this LOVELY car - it's my daily. We're in NZ.
Bit harsh mate. Im a ford man from way back and can assure you there is very little about an S type in common with any ford. The s type is far superior in ride handling and performance to any luxury ford I have owned.
