Hi, thank you for the video. I’m 5’2 and I’m afraid the unadjustable kneeling chair would be too big for me. Do you have any adjustable chairs for sale? Do you ship to Canada?
I just ordered mine (from amazon so I could get free prime shipping). Thank you so much for making this video. So many options from so many makers, I didn't know which one to go with. After seeing this video, your genuineness and professionalism; after seeing the sleekform website, I figured out my choice! I have a standing desk converter, a standing desk treadmill, and now I'm adding this little beauty to the rotation. I think this is the missing piece tbh. Thank you so much have a wonderful day!
I had a chair like this when they first came out many years ago and liked it. It wore out eventually and was replaced but the replacements weren't as comfortable; specifically, my knees weren't happy. I think maybe the pads weren't thick enough... I went back to a regular chair with a wedge pad for the seat but I'm thinking about another kneeling chair because I'm having trouble with my hip and I've been told that the angle in a regular chair is too acute (say, 90 degrees). Apparently it's easier on the hip if the angle is greater, which it would be in a kneeling chair. I will look for another one but this time I'm going to be picky about the padding.
It's fascinating to me, a person who suffers from back issues that you automatically sit straight, your weight is distributed evenly and on the strongest muscles, your quads. Your hips are perfectly aligned. I feel no fatigue. A normal desk or chair Takes me minutes to feel extremely uncomfortable
This chair was fairly easy to put together, the instructions were clear and I was about to follow along with no issues at all. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble. ru-vid.comUgkx5hPALGI87E991DRmXev8PUFJGrrRcONS I did stuff the back of the chair with a pillow so it wouldn’t be so hollow after taking all the pieces out but that’s just a personal preference. I also added a pillow for lumbar support because although this is a great chair and is comfortable, it’s not necessarily the best if you’re sitting 10+ hrs a day wfh but in all honesty for the price, I didn’t mind at all. It looks great in my space and easily adjusts the height when needed.
I have tried multiple kneeling chairs and they destroy my knees and hips. I prefer the adjustable standing desk. It affords the option of standing or sitting. I also use a balance board while standing or sitting.
Please make these with a higher weight capacity. 265 is pretty small especially for muscular men. I was wanting this for my husband but can’t bc of the low limits.
Before I purchased, I read many reviews saying to all but ignore the written instructions, as the video was better. As it turns out I ended up referring to both- the video relies heavily on closeup shots, and (partly) because of that it is difficult to get a full spatial sense of what goes where. I got confused many times and had to reorient and more or less figure it out myself. What I think would be most helpful is if Sleek Form created a new video (and written instructions) based on customer feedback-which seems to be mostly unanimous regarding the ease of assembling the seat. As I’m a visual learner, I appreciated the effort at a video- but I don’t think, like The written instructions, it was as effective as it could have been. You certainly don’t want to over complicate the instructions, but at the same time you want to make sure things are as clear as they possibly can be- to better serve ALL customers. That’s why I’m confused as to why customer feedback hasn’t been implemented yet. I do hope it’s something the company is addressing. Technical issues I had regarding the design of the chair pieces: *piece E. I thought something was wrong this piece because it wasn’t completely flush when I popped it into place. I finally realized it was upside down because the company’s name is on it. You wouldn’t think it being upside down would change things, but it did somehow. *The wooden pegs (J) were the absolute WORST. Some of them fit loose in the holes and some became “stuck,” so that I absolutely 100% could not remove them (which I was trying to do while I was trying to solve my problem of piece E). I think it might have been that some of the holes were slightly larger than others, rather than the pegs being different sizes. Either way it was a design flaw. * My seat was not marked front or back. Only because another customer with the same problem commented on this thread did I get my answer. (Otherwise I would have had to guess and check? Or wait for a reply from the company? If the instructions say…well then shouldn’t the instructions be correct? Again, don’t know what’s up with that.)
The seat did not come with stickers indicating which side was the front. Is it the longer side or the slightly shorter side? Additionally, is it normal for the chair to creak a bit in the first few uses?
Which way is c facing? Wholes face inward. Since d is a trapezoid where does the long side go? Closer to e or c? Long closet to e E and f edges are cut slightly diagonal. With the holes to the ground the long sides are backwards so the whole CANNOT face the floor. So wholes NEED to also face inwards. Seriously who the hell thought this video was better than the worst written instructions. Ikea is easier and theyre a mess. I shouldnt have to do your job.
I just received the chair on wheels. It is a completely different experience than a regular chair. You can't slouch! I just took a job where I will be sitting for long periods of time and I think this is going to be terrific! Great product too!
Ok… WHY Do these on the black one? It’s impossible to see the contrast of where the holes go. The bottom of the cushion does not tell me which is the front and back?! Blerg.
