Anyone have a link to the fortune teller scene? Where she tells the guy 'Bad news, you're going to be president of the United States,' and he gets upset and says 'But I don't want to be president,' and she says 'You've got no choice.' Then he starts dressing like Abraham Lincoln. Sweet genius that Steinbeck.

regardless .... Kevin spacy did a terrible southern accent but is truly an exquisite actor... unfortunately we will not be able to separate the art from the artist in this regard.

I'm a fourth generation savannahian, I thought he did well. This was a time when ppl had that Antebellum aristocratic southern accent. My grandfather was a judge in Chatham county. Savannah. He talked that way, now alot of ppl just have a draw not a country draw. Difficult to articulate unless you are in it. I'm 39 ppl younger than me probably dont remember it , it's pretty much gone. Now it's more a Virginia tide water accent kinda like the sea islands of the Carolinas.

I own a bunch of movies he was in: Garden of Good and Evil, American Beauty, Se7en, The Ref, Usual Suspects... At times I feel like I wanna rewatch them, but I just can't. It'd just remind me of what a degenerate, piece of shit he actually was.
