Excellent guitarist! Saw him live with Steve Vai and Joe Satriani a while ago. This is my favorite guitarist of all time. He doesn't get enough credit, at least in the USA. If he can play so fast while throwing guitar picks to the audience, he's definitely number one on my list! Love you Yingwie!!!
Even 40 years later, Yngwie hasn't outdone his own masterpiece. Today's shred scene owes a lot to him. He might be a jerk, but no one can deny his genius and impact
I was there in 83 when I first heard this. It freaked every guitar player I knew . So intriguing , as much as hearing any Van Halen from his first time. Randy Rhoads... You get it . Kids today take him for granted and mock him
Yngwie's music gave me company during the most depressive part of my life which lasted about 3 years. After high school, no money for university, working, no girlfriend 'cause "I would move on soon" (after I gathered some money to start college). A lot of friends already making the lives of their dreams either married or studying and I was only "caught in the middle". This music is a part of what I am. Sometimes I feel lost and I have changed a lot, but I recall to my roots and this music is a somehow a home to me.
This is a modern day masterpiece , everypart of this song brings 🔥 to my soul , if you appreciate real 🎶 music you know what I'm talking about !! Hes 1 in 50 million !!! Maybe 100 million 😮
Can’t believe it was 30 years ago a smelly long haired scruffy and overly earnest teenager picked up this album and asked if I could try before I buy and so glad I did, I later learned that I wasn’t saving the earth by not having a bath but sometimes it takes the ignorant time to realise that they are being foolish, fabulous album then as well as now 🤘🏽🫶🏽🤘🏽
My friend was listening to this song in his room when he was a teen. His Dad walked in the room the moment there was silence followed by Cronos asking, “Are you damned in Hell?” The father paused, closed the door, and walked away. I laugh every time this part of the song comes on as a result.
In 1984, amidst the heartbeats of a neon-lit decade, a young Swede named Yngwie Malmsteen whispered a secret to the world. With his album "Rising Force," he didn't just play the guitar - he seduced it. It was a whirlwind romance, a tempestuous love affair born of raw talent and burning ambition. His fingers danced upon the fretboard like a lover's caress, each note a stolen kiss, each solo a breathless sigh. His music wasn't just sound; it was poetry, painting passionate landscapes of baroque beauty with lightning-fast arpeggios and soaring melodies. It was a symphony of yearning, a testament to the intoxicating power of pure, unbridled artistry. "Rising Force" wasn't merely an album; it was a whispered invitation into a world where technique surrendered to emotion, where precision ignited a wildfire of the soul. Guitarists listened, their hearts quickening. Some felt the sting of envy, others the dizzying thrill of witnessing a love story unfold between a man and his instrument. If you close your eyes, you can almost feel the heat, the electricity in the air. This wasn't just music; it was a seduction, a siren song that beckoned you closer, promising a glimpse of a world where passion and virtuosity became one. It was a night to remember, a night when the guitar wept, sang, and forever stole a piece of our hearts. 🎸❤🔥
I remember listening to this with my friend Steve in his red camero, I was spell bound trying to imagine how 🤔 he continuously performed excellence beyond my comprehension, I was sixteen at the time and to this day am still blown away of this shredding masterclass !!!!!
Such a great player I hate it when people trash talk him. This was so visionary when it came out. I couldn't believe the arpeggio work it was like how's he playing those arpeggios that fast? Back in those days many of us were not familiar with sweeping lol.
Dude have you heard of amebix? They're a crust-punk band from the 80s and they had have been inspired by them. Very similar sound. Epic Fn middle earth-like anarchy filled satanic lyrics. And the singer is the lead bassist! Cmon now... Arise, axeman, drink and be merry are some starters...
