I noticed you have the bike on a rear stand which makes it upright and your oil sight glass is reading over full. Could just be because it has a lot of forward lean, but maybe check that out
That's correct. Oil should always be checked sitting on both tires and alligned straight (someone holding it for you or you trying your best on your own). Don't go by it on the kickstand or swingarm stand
Nice small bike ! By all means get yourself at least a decent pair of riding gloves that have a hard palm slider as your hands are what your going to use to try and slow yourself down with in case of a crash/Lowside ! Also get at least a mesh Motorcycle Riding Jacket and Pants to protect yourself in case of a spill !
Chain and plug are ok, however look how far your wheel went back on the swingarm. When I exchange external drive gears this way, I always keep the original chain length and specifications by using a -1 front and +1 rear or a +1 front and -1 in back. This way you just put the chain back on and it fits back to the original location, not shorter or longer...
The reason it is far back is because I'm using a 108 link chain instead of the stock 106 link number. You can usually only use stock link number or only 2 more up. I still have good adjustability left. Only got the 108 because I went with a bigger front sprocket. 106 should be fine. Either way, make sure everything sits good whatever way you do it
I'm looking to buy the same bike and know the rpm will be higher than what I like. I don't race around or carry passengers and live in Florida where there are no hills or mountains. I also like getting better mileage and a less jerky ride, so I go +1 front and -1 rear. I had the original formula on how to crudely calculate how the rpm would change, relatively simple, I forgot the formula! Does the bike feel ok? I'm always worried about Chinese motorcycles, however Lifan has been used in actual Honda bikes all over the world...
@umaxen0048 it's a really good bike. Feels of good quality. Nothing like the grom clone vaders or the likes. It gets up and goes, even with a passenger I ride fine, for what it is. With this front sprocket, I feel like it is at a good spot. I can't redline it in 5th but still managed a 68mph top speed with a KO Lightning exhaust at full squat 🤷🏻♂️
I am picking one up tonight 2nd hand.. 2022 model.. Its not the EFI model though.. its carbed with a nibbi carb with some other simple mods like levers and what not. I am SO excited. I have been saving up for the last month to be able to get one of these.
Hey, awesome video man. I have the exact same go kart and I was wondering if you could please let me know what type of rims(wheels) did you get to fit on your new axel from go power sports? I have 8x9.50-8 tires and i want to make sure I get the correct rims to fit the axel. Thanks
@justinbailey2293 what's up! Unfortunately I haven't seen 1" Live axel wheels on gopowersports site lately. I would give them a call and ask fpr help with what you need.
The one you got will work but will run hotter and cause more deposit build up quicker. This one will run cooler, less deposit build up and is the one recommended in your manual.
@@anythinggarage No problem. I just got this bike too and can't wait to get some riding in. I appreciate your vids. I just found the iridium spark plug upgrade and will try it out too. It's the NGK CR8EIX 4218
No difference in power loss, feels the same to be honest. The occasional wierd rpm fluctuations around 3000-4000 rpm range but it did that stock as well.
IMO, excellent and comprehensive review of the bike! Greatly appreciate you including height, inseam, weight, top speed, and 0-60 info. I noticed that it appears that you deleted the original front turn signals. Did you hook up the turn signal wiring to the turn signals integrated into the tank side fairings? Was that difficult or were they plug in harnesses? Regardless, that mod makes for a much nicer setup. Thanks again for a great review of the Lifan KP Mini RS.
Thank you very much for the kind words! Yes, to answer your question. I never mentioned that. It is simple. Just go down there and connect the two male and female connectors. I just got on my under the bike and fit my hands in there. You'll struggle some but you'll find a way easily.
Personally, a cheap Grom clone with carbu should be run stock and if it is run like this it can last years with simple maintenance. However, each is his own.
With how fast that thing revs up you could probably drop from a 60 to a 54 and drop a tooth on your jackshaft sprocket. Run an extra 10ish mph and not really lose any performance.
My modded xpro vader 125 did almoat 60 as well. This is stock with an exhaust doing 68 and so much better quality it's ridiculous how much better it is!
This bike cost me $2699 with tags, taxes shipped to my door ALL MINE at that time. Talk to Pete at Kronik Racing. Based in CA. I'm in CA so my shipping was probably cheaper, they brought it to me in a pickup truck
Hey Man, great video! I have the same type of Manco go kart and I was wondering if you could tell me what type of wheels(rims) did you get for the new axel?
I used 8" Live Axle wheels from Gopowersports, but they don't have those anymore at least right now. Try ebay or amazon. Lmk if you have an more questions!
I was inspecting that for a bit. Doesn't seem to have one. Nothing came off and nothing stuck on the original muffler. Felt around in the head, feels like solid metal. I thought watha heck and just put it on and all is fine 😅 no leaks.
Been messing with my gearing recently and went back to a 15 in the front and up to a 39 in the rear. Tops out at the same speed just a lot faster and revs higher. 5th gear doesn't feel useless lol.
@codyfoster635 I would have to remove 2 links. Chains can only run even numbers cause only one can link to the other. There is plenty of room for tightening, though!
@codyfoster635 Woah that's like going down to a 14 on the front isn't it? That's too low for my personal use and revs too high for my taste. To each their own ☺️
Hey are you getting any air leaks on your exhaust? I guess sound can leak through where the air is leaking making the exhaust louder with baffle. Do you know if that's a issue or is that normal?
You can absolutely get an exhaust leak on any system. Make sure your exhaust clamp is on tight. They also give you that wrap that you can use between the muffler and mid-pipe. I never use them, though. The baffle screw can also become loose over time and, in some cases, fall off during a ride! Make sure everything is tightened up. But don't over torque either!
Mounting hole? As in on the engine where the bolt goes through? Try using a punch/rod and hammer or something of the likes. Try not to cause damage inside. Goodluck!
Just to clarify, ONLY increase the front sprocket to gain more speed. If you need more torque (offroad with knobby tires, hill climbing, heavy loads), then decrease the teeth on the front sprocket. The stock size is the happy medium.
Yes exactly! Everything you said. And vice versa for the rear sprocket. The bigger you go on the rear the lower the top speed. If you go for a smaller rear gear, the higher the speed. It's easier doing the front sprocket as well.
