I’m surprised nobody has done a RU-vid video on buck sticky rodeo Rosin. You’re the only one that came close. I actually bought it for my tennis racket. I figured if you bad asses can hold onto a bronco with this stuff I might be able to hold onto my damn tennis racket.
I am no fan if PETA, but the truth is that these bulls often hurt themselves trying to rid themselves of the painful flank strap. That much weight coming down from such heights and often landing on one front leg with their full weight before the other means snapped ankles. They also often suffer rear hock injuries as they kuck the netal chutes before even clearing it. It doesn't happen iften but, just as in horse racing, when it happens, it is a death sentence for the bull. Bull riding has become a huge sport, but there is no reason for it and it wasn't part if cowboy life. Bronc busting was an actual job on a working ranch, before the days of actually starting colts instead of breaking them came into being Bulls had a pkace on a ranch but transportation wasn't among their duties.
I never made much of a bull rider, but I DID cover Copperhead at the Page’s practice pen when I was 16 in ‘95-96 I believe. Dillon walked up to the chute as I was taking my wrap and said, “Son we don’t have anyone here fighting so when you hit that ground you act like you’re in a foot race to get to that fence ok?”… Scared me enough that I rode him to the end of the pen and proceeded to ride him way past 8 seconds as I couldn’t find a safe place to get off at the end of the arena all by myself 😂…everyone and their dogs yelling at me to get off of him. A couple months later I was watching the PBR with some friends when he jerked Cody Hart down and knocked him out in New York. Nobody believed me when I told them I covered that bull! 😂 true story….
Much respect to Jerome he was a great bull and still an awesome person today. To all the people that help him with wheelchair part God bless you individual something good will always happen you.
I've always rode with a mushy. But, its like a love/hate thing. Taking a wrap feels like squeezing playdoh and making it ooz out between your fingers from the pressure. It just forms up so perfectly in your hand. However, it's also like dragging a bedsheet through thick brush. It kinda snags on every it can
I had the pleasure of watching Jerome ride in Brighton Fl at the Circuit Finals. He fell in the well and spurred his way back up and into a 81-83 point ride.He won the round and I ask him how he did it?He said you never know what you can do when you’re scared to death 🤙🏽 If he could walk he’d enter back up tomorrow.God Bless you Jethro 🙏
Good ride. I would have never rode a bull while wearing such a big belt buckle but he obviously knows how to ride better than I. Also his spurs were not the kind I would have chosen for bull riding but them are good while on a horse.
The majority of these bulls are still used for bucking events as they're graded on difficulty, they're picking out the top bulls for the highest level/championship.
I never knew my grandad (Thomas lacy Teague) was a tenant farmer I thought he was buying the farm on contract !! the man was talking about looking up to was Henin Holt .
Just curious, on this video Dillion said 32Y Bruiser is sired by Crossfire Hurricane but on the ABBI and in sale magazines it says 32Y is out of Showtime? Is that just a mistake
I got to see Jerome have a 98 point ride one year in the midsouth coliseum in Memphis TN during tge Midsouth fair on FFA day they kept him a secret he was the last to go out I can't remember the year it was somewhere from 1995 to 99 our FFA went that day of the fair every year the fair was in full swing I had a blast especially that year I saw him ride and met donny Gay
