Actually, no… this is a rider at the highest level of our sport. I see a million X-rays everyday.. I see several 100’s of horses . This is not on the rider because he hasn’t given this horse freedom . If you don’t have entire knowledge medically .. or actually even a qualified rider . Sure this would be a cat persons thought process.. I bet this horse has changes in the neck arthritis in C6-C7 and or an enlarged area somewhere . Which created nerve pain. When the horse stretches out it probably pinches something. So that probably is the comfortable position for his neck. There are no studies shown that we great this as he sent in foal X-rays as Well. I don’t know if that’s why. But either does the person that posted this video. So educate than repost . Otherwise you sound uneducated. I feel dumber now having had listen to this post. I am also in just a bad enough mood that I am so sick of hearing people make assumptions based on their human experience. Please if you are that interested that you felt the need to try to. Inaccurately post something off of assumption than go actually educate yourself . Please . It would make a big difference. Maybe you could educate everyone but anyway I gave you a jumping off point so you don’t sound like a women who lives in her house alone with twenty cats lol
Horses ultimately want freedom. “With flowing tail and flying mane, Wide nostrils never stretched by pain, Mouth bloodless to bit or rein, And feet that iron never shod, And flanks unscar’d by spur or rod, A thousand horses - the wild - the free - Like waves that follow o’er the sea, Came thickly thundering on.” - Lord Byron
There’s so much politics in politics Olympic team choosing. Ian miller chooses the Olympic team for Canadas showjumping, and let’s just say he chooses who he wants not who deserves it. Yes they need to qualify via points, but he gets last say. It’s all a big bunch of politics rather than proper horsemanship and skill/care of both horse and rider.
I live in Houston and the last few days have been not only hot but we have extremely high humidity. As a human it's been hard to breathe and I know that it's even worse for horses.
This horse was trying to tell the riders in the video that it was definitely exhausted and stressed and the first thing they thought was it was being naughty and having bad behavior so it got away with training but no they are just like us.
Anyone who defend this way of riding, have no idea of horses or no heart for horses. Who gives a fuck if hes 4 or 5, if hes 20 min 4 days a week more or less in training. This video Shows pure cruelty to a horse. And dont expect shes riding better when nobody is watching....
The rider is riding more on the curb than snaffle in this clip, s o the animal keeps giving. Had the horse had no contact he most like would have stretched. I don't show Dressage, but to say this is the most horrifying exit you have ever seen is just drama.
You almost sit with joy in your eyes (one video after another) when there is something to criticize, wonder how solid your background is for this - -. In the thread below, your followers are also experts - - WOW!. There are easy times for critics these days, you don't have to be particularly knowledgeable as long as you for sure are unconditionally critical. It is shameful and impolite.
Thos os dressage it should be the best trained horses who are touched with the lightest aids, who understand their riders blindly. Look where we are instead blood in the mouth of any horse is unaccepteble, blood in the mouth of a dressage horse means that we are at the opposite side of where dressage should be.
ABSOLUTELY SICKENING!!!!! We have very hot weather hete in South Africa. WE NEVER WORK THE HORSES DURING THE DAY!!! Either early morning or at dusk. Wjat are these bloody sick evil people doing😡😡THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FRIM OWNING ANY ANIMAL!!!!!!!
It scares me deeply how little knowledge of correct and horse-friendly riding the answers here show. LDR ridden horses are never happy and never walk correctly or in a way that protects their health. These people are the reason why so many horses continue to suffer.
This horse is on a relaxed rein. Please focus your attentions on horses who REALLY NEED YOUR HELP. Those poor souls who are in constant fear while being sold by the pound
@@DressageHub please stop attacking others with hyperbolic nonsense. Your very claims demonstrate a preposterous lack of horse sense and suggest ulterior motives. Misplaced jealousy or perhaps you felt slighted by one or more of these competitors? You do understand these events are strictly regulated and attended by licensed veterinary experts???
😂😂😂😂@@Hat5858 if you still believe in the regulation of these events you aren't watching close enough. If you want to support animal abuse try Dressage News. This is not the place for you.
What is wrong with these people??? Horses aren’t trying to get away with stuff. They don’t think like that, that’s a human concept. Those people shouldn’t be near horses.
For the good of your horse - change your trainer, change your stable, change your mindset: STOP THE ABUSE. Then perhaps you can heal the horse. There really is no excuse for your neglect.
Its not disregard or neglect or anything other than the fact that accidents happen. Animals are a farms income no farmer deliberately do things that cost them their livelyhood. By this standard every kid that breaks a leg should be taken away from the parents.....No accidents happen its just life.
