Wow fast and furious, strange but was watching Dave Cam racing here in iRacing only a day ago. Although it's a sim the racing was identical, very close with constant draughting.
There were no official tactics, no team orders, and no back room deals - if there were I would have known about it. In fact there isn't even a back room to conduct said deals. Everything you see here is on-track, instinctual choices by everyone. Everyone in this video made moves they would take back or regret. It's called racing. And F1600 is some of the best. Yes, Pelfrey and Rice have been competing head to head for years and with Greg planning to retire & sell cars, new chapters will be written. But I've worked in F1600/F2000 just shy of a decade and compared to the stuff you see on TV this is about the least amount of BS you can get on the track, and these kids have incredible amounts of seat time considering their age. Pelfrey, Rice, KHill and Exclusive are only a few names that all put great cars on track. There's always something to be mad about by somebody but at the end of the day, the results tend to stand. While working for Greg I can tell you about far more than 10 and half minutes of things we didn't agree with, or didn't go our way, and we still help our competitors get on track, whether its hitching a ride on a paddock golf cart, holding an umbrella to keep people dry on griddebatable
Hey Dylan, Heck yea looks like you were getting him on Exit by taking a wider line in ! Got into racing very late in life after never racing anything, few skip barber schools and just starting my third limited season racing Formula ford and just started Kart training to improve my skills, doing it backwards apparently. learning quite a bit from watching your vids , especially your calm demeanor and patience.
