Just bought one from a pawn shop for $150. Has a case, 12" disc, digging tools & a pin pointer but no instruction book. So i downloaded & printed one up. Been finding all kinds of stuff in our neighborhood. Lol! Appreciate your video.
It looks like you were searching in disc mode so why did you ground balance the machine.......if you switch into disc it is totally unnecessary to ground balance as it uses automatic ground cancel.Ground balancing is only used if you are searching in all metal mode where you ground balance and use fix if the ground is evenly mineralised or trac if the ground varies.
I leave mine not notched. The black box is a good indicator that it's probably a ring and not a tab. I use low discrimination number and use my discretion. I dig most things. The very first silver coin I ever found was a 1545 Mexico City 1 real. I had dug 6-8 fishing weights prior to that and they were nearly same number. Whites MXT Pro
I have a new/ old one I won at a competition hunt 14 or 15 years ago. In my closet and used only a couple times. After this video I’m itching to go try it out with your settings! :)
The Pro is multi tone like the M6, the MXT 300 is a two tone with a 300 mm concentric coil. The 300mm 12" concentric coil turns any MXT into a beast on both deep and shallow targets in mild to moderate soil! The multi-tone is great for coin and jewelry 💍, but my focus is on gold prospecting where all I need is two tones... one for iron and one for gold. The Pro has a ground grab button on the control pad to manuel ground balance. (Which is great!). The 300 is the older style that uses a toggle switch to auto track and then lock the auto track. (Hold the auto tracked ground balance in place). The Pro has a backlight... the standard MXT and 300 do not!
Hey Michael...thank you for this video! Very well done. Very understandable. I bought mine a few years ago when I upgraded from a whites entry level machine. Yes, I agree, it is a tank. I'm so happy to run into your videos. You've been a great help and I did subscribe.
Cannot believe it's been this many years since originally watching your videos lol. Have to relearn a few things. Been 2 years since I've been out but now that I'm settled in new house and organized I can get out this spring/summer
Hope! estou aqui para conhecer o seu canal e para fazer novos amigos. Faça-me uma visita e fortaleça esse laço de amizade. Excelente domingo, Deus está no controle.
Just curious. Still got your Outlaw detector? I know a lot of folks sold their Tesoros once Tesoro went out of business. I just got an Outlaw a few days ago and am learning how to adjust the settings. Your video is very informative. Thanks.
Don't forget to hold the coil back in the air or off over clean ground and press button again to "detune" it back to baseline before continuing the hunt!!!
I own a metal detector similar to yours. I put a new battery in it. When I move it across the ground while it is on I get false readings. Why is that happening? How can I fix that?
Brian Mott difficult to say. There are a more than a few things that cause false hits. Make sure you have clean ground, free from hot rocks, deep cans, etc. if you have another’s detector use that to check the ground, obviously if that one starts falling as well, then the ground is just not good. Keep the gain down and if your in discrimination mode, rotate the disc know to see where the falling is coming in. Again tough to determine not being there seeing which detector you have etc.
I tried this with my Vaquero and got a similar result, but I don’t think it’s anything to do with recovery speed. I think the detector is simply measuring the 2 targets under the coil and attributing a combined value which happens to be above the reject setting. Replace the nail with a heavier piece of iron and you will get a different result. The combined value will bias more toward iron and null the coin. Try it.
Hello, I read the entire comment thread and I can’t decide until the end, I myself work with cibola, in our domestic market (Russia) I actively promote e-trac, deus, eqinox, but as a pragmatic person, I just can’t afford to throw out such money down the drain. maybe it makes sense to go to tejon? Especially on my detector is detech ultimate 13
Whites in my opinion are the best! I have an AllPro and nothing beats it. I use it in all my videos. I have used all the others. Thanks for the video. NEW sub
