*Is it worth becoming a truck driver?* I am considering this career due to the perceived peace, simplicity, and relaxation it offers. My wife has expressed interest in accompanying me on my drives. However, I am also contemplating careers as an engineer, or high current electrician. These professions are typically well-compensated, and considered "higher-class" within craftsmanship work. These professions are typically also well-compensated, even after taxes, offer good working hours and extremely good work conditions exclusively in my country. Despite this, a significant part of me is drawn to driving, truck driving, and I have heard it can be particularly enjoyable, relaxing and good for Muslims too. I am 16 and I'm conflicted. Should I become a truck driver, or utilize my potential to pursue a "higher-class" job that pays more, with less hours and more time with family. In many countries, engineering is typically associated with tasks that are more analytical and theoretical, involving design, planning, and problem-solving, often done in offices or labs. However, in Denmark, there's a unique type of engineering that emphasizes more physical work. This means engineers in this category perform hands-on tasks, more craftsmanship-like, likely working directly on construction sites, in manufacturing plants, or other environments where physical labor is integral. These engineers go through the same educational programs, take the same classes, and receive similar training as their counterparts who might end up in more traditional, office-based roles. However, their preference or career path leads them to roles that require more physical engagement with the projects they're working on. I might become an engineer of sorts, a high current electrician, or a truck driver. But one thing I do know: I am conflicted. *So back to my question, is it worth becoming a truck driver?* I don't expect you to help me find my path, teach me extensively, or provide solution or answers to all my conflicts and questions, especially given that your experiences are different from my own. *My point being, please don't feel pressured to provide solutions or answers to everything. However, I would appreciate any insights or advice you can offer based on your own experiences. Whatever you feel is best or have on your mind would be helpful. Thank you.*
