I couldnt hear the wind noise over him talking. How has the quality control improved in the sub-frame department to have an actual proper fitting k member? At last check the fitment for 94-97 f body camaros left quite a bit to be desired.
@ UMI I have the 95 Z28 vibration at starting at 65 acceleration to 80. Crest a hill top put car into natural on down hill side vibration stops. This car is new to me. On service I had both u joints replaced and vibration is less but I want zero vibs. **Note pinion seal leaking CRITICAL THINKING: The car didn't shake off the show room floor. RUMORS: aluminum drive line fixes , + 1.5 pinion angle fixes, new torque arm bushing don't fix. What happens over time with suspension control arms? Do they have bushing mounts? Car has 130k miles. Does anybody have knowledge of this common issue with the 4 gen Camaros and a no bullshit fix? I could spend thousands and still not fix the real issue. Thanks
Did UMI change this bracket within the past couple years? My 4057 looks nothing like this. Nor does it fit my Currie housing. I need to check on my GM 12 bolt and see if it fits that.
I am currently undecided on upgrading my g body with which suspension upgrades I should go with. Watching this video I would certainly lean towards this upgrade but some feedback on performance and results would certainly help me decide. Specs on tire and rim size and ride height before and after the upgrade would be great benefit towards my decision.
I did the whole package on my cutlass. I haven't driven it yet but I cNt wait. My daily is a el camino with the cheaper stuff but I have the viking double adjustable shocks and umi 1inch lower springs at all 4 corners ,umi rear control arms and Sway bar, front monte carlo ss sway bar, front and rear bracing for chassis and control arms, the front a arms are stock but soon they will get changed and I stiffened up the body a bit and she is amazing on the back roads. Now I need more... more motor and more brakes😊
Awesome! Love the explanation. Last year I bought the 1 inch and I'll be installing it soon. For a minute I was worried I night the wrong one for my usage but it looks like I'm good. Thanks for the outstanding explanation. 😁
This company never shows videos of shimming or of thier adjustable upper Arms being actually adjusted- probably because it is a science project to rip the entire assembly apart 1 million times for knt hair fine adjustments...
Just installed your arm and crossmember. You need to update your instruction sheet !!! It says to used driveshaft angle and pinion angle which would be totally wrong. In my 89 the driveshaft actually raises from the trans to the diff. If I followed the directions with the kit, the pinion would be severely nose down !! It also states the crossmember bolts are M8. They are M10.
Just to confirm do these tubular lower control arms improve handling cornering? I'm looking to replace my old ones and want something that will make the car handle better in twisty roads tracks. I do not drag and and tuning car to handle better for driving. Thanks.
I am about to do a 1970 Cutlass and also my 1988 Cutlass with all UMI stuff due to the obviously great product lines and the great reputation. Can't wait! Congrats on the milestone!
