I love the baseball draft, but the money part is frustrating. They will make money through marketing if they draft Bazanna. Thanks for the content. Egan is definitely a Cleveland pick.

Thanks for the content. I will be very interested in the pitching they draft this year. We need more depth. And for goodness sake, please Cleveland, draft a couple of catchers. Especially if Velazquez is not going to be a catcher.
Looked at the Lynchburg stats and a guy I was not familiar with, Esteban Gonzalez, has 23 steals in 43 games. That's some Billy Hamilton level production. This guy on anyone's radar?
All stats are inflated at Low-A. Walks, strikeouts, steals. Hes a good runner but the pace is inflated due to competition at the level. hes also a tad older for the level
random question... are defensive scouting grades position specific? Example: a catching prospect has a 50 grade arm. Does that mean his arm is considered average for a catcher? Or just that overall he has an average arm - no matter what position he might play?
It is weighted by position for me at least. I give consideration to position if i give a 50 arm to a C/SS/3B/RF. Other positions are kind of inconsequential in some ways. But yes, a 50 arm at SS/3B/C/RF should play up at other positions like a 55
The 2022 pitching draft picks does not appear to be reaping any rewards. Campbell, Delucia, Zibin all hurt. Humphries finally not hurt. Messick your best bet and he is moving very slowly through the minors.
Akron has at least 3 starters should be pitching at columbus. I relief pitcher Walter's should be at columbus. Front office of the guardians stop baby this prospects . Matt tugboat Wilkerson should be up a level. What are they waiting for.
Hagan Smith although being quite dominant has only thrown 66 innings over 12 starts. Thats 5 and half innings a start. Is this a matter of not wanting to over work him early in the season?
Really good show Justin. Great update from on the farm system. I like how you explain how you point out underrated guys and others who fans may be too high on based on hype.
Thank you for the great content! Montgomery playing his way into 1:1 conversation only helps the Guardians. Never want to be out of options like Ben Lively.
If Seaver King’s news about put on weight is true. He might be the one with most power among him, JJ, bazzana. Than he can be the one and only the true 1-1 talent.
Unless Halpin progresses, the 2020 draft is almost a complete waste (thank goodness for Allen). I am so glad they saved money with Tucker. That worked out (not).😢
Thanks for listening! It's going to be a very fun debate over the next 6 months and I'm excited to keep talking about it. Especially once college and high school seasons start
I hope that Morris can stay healthy. I really think he could be a key part of the rotation of the future. Of course, I am biased, I am South Carolina alum.😊
I agree with you about September call ups. I like your idea. I at least would like to see thirty. Two can be pitchers, and two position players. Maybe a decent compromise.
I appreciate all of the information. If we got Manzardo for Civale, it would have been interesting to see what the organization would have garnered for a season and a half for a healthy Bieber. I would put Manzardo as the number one prospect. Valera has had his opportunities to impress. Again, thank you for the podcast.
For data we can see, mooney did not hit the ball hard, in fact, the 90th exit velo is the same level with Hawke and Knapczy, and Whiff much more than those 2 guys. But he did hit the ball to the air more often. His perfect game data showed he was really good in High school. So, his situation is one of the most interesting things in this draft for me.
Hey Justin! Loved the interview with Jason, learned a lot about the Hillcats roster. Also, Worcester is pronounced similarly to "Wooster," which is why they sometimes call the AAA Red Sox the "Woo Sox."
