The Kenosha Fire Department is a full-time career department that responds to over 10,000 calls per year. The fire department operates out of 5 stations, has 156 employees and operates 32 pieces of apparatus. Our mission is to serve the City of Kenosha through the delivery of Emergency Services. This mission is accomplished by highly trained men and women who serve with pride, dedication and courage.
HISTORY On March 8, 1851 the Kenosha Volunteer Fire Company was organized and incorporated under Governor Nelson Dewey. Since, the Kenosha Volunteer Fire Company grew and has continued to grow. The volunteer fire company eventually became the Kenosha fire department. Now, the Kenosha Fire Department is a full-time career Department that protects the lives and property of 99,841 citizens of the City of Kenosha within 25.43 square miles. As of 2021, the department responds to over 10,000 calls per year and operates out of 5 stations, with 156 employees and 32 pieces of apparatus.
Quality video 👌. This seems like a fun dept. to work for. Everyone working hard, pitching in and just mutual respect all around . Would be curious to know about the hiring process.
NIce video for you guys. Hope you can do more of this quality, so many departments do long and drawn Public Service Announcements for the FS and not actual "non-scripted" videos. Kudos.
Three people on an ambulance? Is that normal there? We only have a third on board if there's a 3rd year university student paramedic doing their placement. Ordinarily it's just two paramedics per ambulance. EMT level isn't recognised nor legal here. Great video and insight.
