@@Weehistory Yeah right ! First attack a country to steal oil, then call them terrorist when they fight back. None of those US soldiers were heroes. Greedy bastards
Did you know the Romans killed Jesus? Yup, dastardly. Did you know the Vatican, Mafia, and Catholic Church are patterned after the Roman army that killed Jesus? Did you know the descendants of the murderers of Jesus hold high offices in the United States government like Desantis? The Christians love that guy.
This claim is quite misleading and lacks historical basis. The Vatican is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, but it was not patterned after the Roman army. The Mafia, an organized crime syndicate originating in Sicily, has no direct historical connection to the Roman army either.
This is historically accurate in the sense that Jesus was crucified under Roman authority, specifically under the governor Pontius Pilate, in Judea. However, it's important to note that it was a specific group of Jewish religious leaders who sought Jesus' execution, not all Romans
Some military "charlatan" orchestrated troops moving, just like the recent US Afghanistan retreat, but you can't find names anywhere, can you? What happened is that these troops were not equipped as the advancing Germans, and could have been massacred by the Luftwaffe and by land... the British are still wondering why Hitler didn't do it, why the Germans stopped... perhaps it could be that they couldn't believe that an idiot could really assembled so many troops in a way to be cornered and annihilated. They probably thought it must have been a trap...
Ignore the REAL REASON OF THE SUCCESS : The SACRIFICE of the French First Army's 7 divisions survivors who fought till the bitter end under general Moulinié's command while the British troops left the lines to evacuate WITHOUT EVEN NOTIFYING French HQ resulting in even dire situations and acts of heroism by French troops to take over positions left by the British. Without this fight to the end by those Men, what all those "heroic" evacuation boats would have found is the German army slaughtering the British soldiers most of whom had left their equipment back. I will never deny the fact that the evacuation was a great feat and that the British had to retreat but the actions of the British command at the time is only the first of 3 betrayals that were commited against France by their British Ally. It is a incredible situation to have your allies leave like that celebrate their accomplishment of running away and to have the ennemy recognize the heroism of French soldiers. General von Reichenau was so impressed by the French troops combat that he gave them war honors, when 3 French companies came to formally surrender, the German general Waeger, his complete HQ staff and an honor company stood at "present arm" to recognize the bravery of the French and honor them as they walked passed them on Lilles great square after the defeat. History must be remembered COMPLETELY, not Just the parts that you like.
"Absolutely, the bravery and sacrifice of the French First Army's divisions at Dunkirk are often overlooked. Their heroism ensured many Allied soldiers could evacuate. It's crucial to recognize their role alongside the evacuation's significance."
@@Weehistory already did, do you think I'd post it without searching first? the point is that the truth must have been censured, because you don't find it anywhere. Some military "charlatan" orchestrated troops moving, just like the recent US Afghanistan retreat, but you can't find names anywhere, can you?
@@Weehistory The British Expeditionary Forces in France had to leave just about everything behind, so when they were re-formed again in Britain, Australia sent just about everything we had to resupply them. This meant that it took years to rebuild our own supplies, leaving the VDC [Volunteer Defense Corp's, or Dads army] to defend Australia's shores with single shot 410 caliber Cadet rifles & some 303 conversions of 1880's Martini-Henry single shot rifles, to ward off the potential invading hordes of Japanese. Everything that wasn't sent to Britain was already overseas with the Australian forces in combat, leaving Australia stripped of all our troops & pretty much all of our materiel & supplies.
It was not only 300. Along with the Spartans, 700 Blackcoat Thespians stoid and died. The initial army was around 7000 men, without the supporting personnel. The 300Sp and 700Th, stood to the last, to give time to the main army to retreat and rally the other Greek City States. It was a well calculated strategic battle loss.
True the Battle was: 7,000 Greeks vs 1,000,000 Persians (142 to 1) ( modern estimates think: 200,000 Persians (28 to 1) But the Spartans were not remembered because they took part in the battle. They were remembered because only all of them, 700 Thespians and 400 Thebans chose to stay and die on the last day to save the others and Greece. And that is why 2,504 years later they are still revered 💪
And there are coral anchors left by Chinese explorers off of California’s coast dating back before Columbus arrived. Long term settlement was not had until after Columbus and he therefore gets undue credit of being first.
