Great to hear once again the very young Leonie Rysanek. The special Rysanek-Timbre comes through very clearly and reminds me very much of her sister Lotte Rysanek!
Unbelievable 😂 a statement for Lorenz fans that there are probably tons of his private/unreleased recordings. Whoever sent this recording to Leskov Fischer please send more 😂
Just listend to it one day before this restaured version! ❤ So sad that they missed to do a video!!!! Saw a snippet of Julias dance which keeps you begging for more…😢

Thank you for generously posting this Meistersinger. The best 'live' Meistersinger I've heard in years. Vogt was just excellent and sang the best 'Prize Song' I've heard in years and years listening to Wagner. The audience hesitating to applaud in mid-song obviously agreed I'm sure. He sounded as fresh from start to finish. The rest of the cast were wonderful as well and sounded very naturally involved with the production. For once Walther does not sound like he is courting his grandmother. Thanks again for sharing.
I was fortunare enough to be placed approx. 1 metre from her when she sang those magnificent B'''s onstage- Wow! I was deaf for a week! RIP dearest MArita- you are solely missed>
Danke
I was at this performance and most of the rest of this series of performances!!! What an amazing memory to have. Thank you so much, I am a huge "Leonie" Fan since I was a kid having first heard her as Senta at The Met and then I was addicted and saw her in about 15 roles one as thrilling as the other.
