I am 23 and I have this too. My dentist says there could be multiple reasons for this including poor hygiene, stress, in my case long term use of antidepressants. This honestly stresses me out which is inturn counterproductive to my health. Having a good support system is so important. If anyone is going through this and is feeling a little sad or dejected, we are in this together. Seek help as I will too.
I know I shouldn’t complain but I am also concerned and a little puzzled.. my gums seem to bleed when I brush or floss.. I take pretty good care of my teeth but I’m afraid to admit that it has been a good 10 years since I have had a professional cleaning. I went for a cleaning today and had X-rays done. The cleaning was literally done (above gumline) in less than 20 minutes. I was very surprised. Considering it has been so long since I have had a professional cleaning, I was expecting a much more in depth procedure. Should I go to another hygienist/dentist? I feel like I didn’t receive a proper cleaning. I was expecting cavities and referrals to a periodontist because my gums can be sensitive to brushing. I know I should be thankful that my appointment went smoothly after 10 years but it has also left me a little confused as to why I didn’t have more of a deep cleaning and why the cleaning in general went by so quickly. It was almost as if I was treated like a patient who had been seen 6 months ago. All this time I was worried, and then I was surprised when I was told my teeth looked good, aside from having a slight underbite

I sadly found out that I have periodontitis a week ago I go for a deep cleaning in about a week and a half . I don’t care about the black triangles or how deep they are even though they make my teeth look older. I only care about getting rid of the stupid disease . I can’t believe I let myself stump that low it make me feel like I’m a failure or something ya know
I have to get this treatment done,, I never looked after my teeth when young,, paying for it now,,, anyone else ever get sour or metalic taste in mouth from this gum disease???
LM DENTAL, I have a receding gum after my dentist did this like in your video and also flat filling I got just a bit of swelling in my receding gum with a bit of gum pocket, I’m doing good hygiene at home with brushing flossing and mouthwash, how long does it take for the swelling to heal and is there a chance that with time The gum will attach to the tooth without having gum pocket? The reason so many people have bad teeth is because of how many dentists go into the trade not because they enjoy it but because of the money but nobody wants a dick as a dentist so everyone stops going to the dentist. My first 2 dentists were excellent. I moved and had to switch dentists when i was older. The ones after that were definitely in it more for the money and not cause they liked it.... fast forward to now and i have gingivitis. And yes it is mostly my fault for only brushing once a day up until now but i place most of the blame on them 🤣🤣
Don’t let the video scare you. I’ve had it done and it don’t hurt. They numb your mouth and then it just feels like a normal clean. I have to go back next week to have it finished and I can’t wait! 😊
