League to player getting scored on: ”hey remember that sick goal that guy scored on you? Where he friggin dragged his nards all over the pitch, and his horse did as well, then he friggin went ‘05 AND1 mixtape on your ass while you pressed him and he still scored while on a moving horse? Yea we’re gonna need that clip from your game footage”
Using a horse like a piece of machinery is sick. It is called a game? You should all be ashamed to be playing and promoting this abuse. The use spurs and tack that is hurtful to the animal should be banned AND a representative of the Humane Society present at every game, to interupt and charge any player deemed as showing abuse. Sorry but it breaks my heart. Seeing such abuse in this day and age when humanity is supposed to be so advanced and intelligent? Makes me livid!
@@llecropus3465 For your education, the following is only one of many that share the same information, as was reported, ' Whilst the cruelty involved in horse racing is attracting more and more criticism, little attention has been paid to the plight of ponies used for polo, but the death of Drizzle is by no means an isolated incident. Polo is very gruelling for the ponies - who are forced to constantly stop and start and make sharp turns. Ankle injuries are common. The whip is used extensively. Sudden deaths - either during a match or shortly after a match - are not uncommon. Yet again this shows that whenever animals are exploited for “sport“, their welfare comes in a distant third behind winning and making money. ' Side note, Drizzle was the pony that Henry rode and who suffered a heart attack and died within minutes of being retired from the match.
You appear not to know anything about horses, or riding. These animals are not abused. Proper use of spurs isn't harmful. As for tack, what's your concern? Explain. Hunters who injure an animal & allows it to crawl off to die a slow painful death. Condem the pet owners abusing their pets everyday. The puppy mills, dog fighting, bull fighting & cock fighting. Circuses abuse animals. Do you go. Slaughter houses are horror chambers. Visit 1. The animals screaming, the fear in their eyes. Fact: the experienced horse person does not abuse their animal. It's a partnership. My horses always come before me.
@@equine2020 So IMHO. :) My comment is my opinion shared with what I know and have learned. As is yours @equine2020. :) Yet, as to spurs, how do you control 'proper use' of spurs, have you seen the wound on the horse that Henry (AKA Prince Harry) inflicted on his horse with his spurs? I am sure that you are aware that Henry also rode his pregnant mare (Drizzle) to her death? You must know that some experienced Polo players never use or wear spurs and, yes, whips and spurs are optional polo gear. So whips...but that is another subject right? While I agree that there may be horse trainers, owners, riders, as yourself, who treat their horses with respect, love and caring, it is a fact that polo pony tails are needed braided and tied, their beautiful manes are clipped. And, it is also a well known fact that they suffer tendon injuries, wounds and splints solely because of the intensity of polo. As you also know, splints can be caused by concussion on hard ground and also by sudden stops and turns made at faster gaits. Injuries that they would not have sustained if they had NOT been USED for this 'game' created for sport and money by humans. Accidents like loosing their eyes because they were hit by the ball. Ohh and how about the double bit gag snaffles coupled with rising cheek straps that draw the bit even tighter into the corners of their mouths, and the draw reins that go from girth to mouth through the bit rings to the rider’s hands to keep their heads right down. Imagine wearing one of those and your mouth bleeds but the bleeding stops when your mouth is washed out, before going out to play? All animals feel, they feel pain and discomfort and fear, as is the gist of what I believe you intended to share concerning animal abuse. It seems that there is a lot of money involved in this 'game' right? Not only the sale/purchase/rental of ponies themselves but associated medical and other expenses. Side note, is the figure of $500 per goal per game still a base figure? And are pro salaries still falling into a general range from $3,000 to $6,000 per goal per month? You are truly blessed my friend, to be able to afford to own horses. Most people only dream of being able to even pet one, ride one and let alone own one. They are beautiful, noble, and magnificent beings that should be respected and appreciated for what they are. One of God's creatures. :)
A cowboy buys a horse from the town pastor. The pastor explains, “To make the horse go, you gotta yell, ‘Thank God!’ And to make it stop, yell, ‘Hallelujah.’” The cowboy rides away. He rides all day and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff. Searching his memory, he yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!” The horse grinds to a stop just at the edge of the cliff. The cowboy wipes the sweat off his forehead. “Phew!” the cowboy sighs. “Thank God!”
