A wonderful piece of heaven. Have spent precious moments with my mom, dad and sister there back in the 1950s. After many years I was able to book cottages at Picnic island and Halls Cottages with my own family. We knew Jack Easton and Conrad very well as we spent time in every cottage and cabin numerous times on the island. Prior to that we spent our one week holiday in a tent either at Pic/Island or Beaus. / Island. Loved those ice cream cones at Pic/ island, the wonderful array of boats, 'wooden and fiberglass' and yes, the fishing was great. I still have a pic of my dad holding a 47 lb Muskie along side the 'ice house' at pic Island. Thanks;..enjoyed the video. Back to H/H in August ! Oh the memories !

My mother's family (Mitchell) has been vacationing in Honey Harbour for almost 100 years. It is truly the most beautiful place I've ever been.

Thank you for this great video. I spent all my childhood summers in Honey Harbour and worked at the Del, Picnic Island Resort and the Honey Harbour Town Centre in th 70s and 80s. Still go up every summer with my sons and they love it there to.

Beautiful shots our cabin was right across from Picnic Island Store a yellow and red cottage. My father and grandfather built it. The only way my mom would go there is if she had a 4 piece bath, we had the first one on Robert's Island! We first rented off Jack Easton and also my uncle Neil Reid, My dad's name was Charlie Fielding. My uncle didn't build on his lot in time and had to sell to dad , so we had a double lot , next to Bill Bell. There were the Carson's then the Andrew's, my parents back yard neighbors are Stuart Bald's brother , how's that for a coincidence !Great shots and you brought back some great memories. They also rented a cottage off of Stuart Bald before building their own. Gosh I miss the fishing.I brought my 4 kids up about 7 yrs. ago to have ice cream on the docks and watch the boats. My brother lives in Monetville and we were on our way to see him. My kids didn't think their mom did all these things, you see I'm disabled now and cannot do much, but you brought back so many memories, like the time lighting struck the large evergreen out front of the cottage, I think it has been taken down now sure left a large split and large score on the ground, watching northern lights, fires with marshmallows, fire flies by the millions, sun bathing and of course the best fishing around, I live down in Essex and either Lake St. Clair or Erie fish are not edible. Thanks for the memories Rolf. Susan Fielding-Jenner !!!
