You actually mixed two crashes and added sth I don't know from where. From JFK to Warsaw had an issue with landing gear indication and wanted the ATC to confirm that it is down and locked. During a go-around, after a low pass over the runway, engine shaft failed, leading to the turbine spinning up and exploading. It cut thru the control cables and the aircraft crashed 30sec later. Cause: production mistakes during the shaft manufacturing. From Warsaw to JFK, they try to climb from FL160 to FL180 (2000 feet up) as fast as they could, to avoid military restricted airspace. After 3~4 minutes of being in TO-GA (engine was certified for at least 15 minutes), engine shaft failed and the turbine exploded too. However, they had altitude and managed to get back to Warsaw, where they crushed during approach, due to fire on board, which melted the un-cut trim cable. Cause: Unavailability of spare bearing and bad maintenance of it, leading to the bearing literally cutting the shaft. I don't know the source of navigation errors mentioned.

The plane glight6055,wass flying from Warsaw JFK ,a little while in to the flight wen suddenly something went wrong and the first engine set on fire then soon all the engines set on fire the pilots last words where goodnight we shall perish not long after that the plane crashed in a forest all 182 passengers died that day ever one on the plane died . It was a sad day for some of the passenger's family members to here that there folks died. I also believe that people on that plane did not feal anything and it was a quick death other then a slow and painful death. Be safe out there guys we don't want anything else to go rong ona plane and if u are ever in a plane that is about to crash, GOD BLESS You 🙏❤.

LOT flight 5055 was flying from Warsaw to JKF but at around FL260 the second engine expirienced an uncontained engine failure , the fire damaged the wirings at the tail making both the rudder and elevator uncontrollable , although the pilots can use the aleirons to steer and trim to control ascend/descending the plane will keep descending against the pilot's will . The plane turned back heading for warsaw but they failed to turn at the final approach and with all 4 engines failed the plane dived into the forest and crashed . nobody on the flight survived The cause was that LOT airlines often preform budget cuts especially on their plane engines , in this case a part in the compressor because the delays of equipment delivery , so while using the engines to an extent the parts ended up burning Whats even depressing about this incident was that where they crashed was just 11 km away from the warsaw airport

The LOT Polish Airlines Flight 5055 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Warsaw, Poland, to New York City, United States. In the late-morning hours of 9 May 1987, the Ilyushin Il-62M operating the flight crashed in the Kabaty Woods nature reserve on the outskirts of Warsaw around 56 minutes after departure. All 183 passengers and crew on board were killed in the crash, making it the deadliest accident involving an Ilyushin Il-62, and the deadliest aviation disaster in Polish history.

First it was flying from warsaw to JFK Second 1 engine was set on fire Third the pilots tried their best to land safely at the chopin airport in warsaw Fourth soviet onion was not helping with the investigation because they blamed the pilots even tho the engines were on fire and there was low hydraulics Five. Kabaty isnt a village but a place in warsaw Six the pilots tried to drop fuel before landing but due to low hydraulics they failed Also i bet the budget for this vid was 99 cents and the time they spent researching was 0 seconds.

As a fellow polish girl, I totally agree! It is so rude how other countries explain what happen as if Poland couldn’t. Poland would explain so much better with so much more detail, and they would actually tell you the truth. That pilot was truly a really good guy. Rip 🪦 Ps: actually TRY and pronounce it right tho?

Yea but the thing is if you listen yo the actual audio the pilot said 2 engine were on fire, and the soviets werent onions
