Why is the online store now limited regarding your products, for a examaple only having training handcuffs or only having two variants of baton holders?
Thank you for commenting, but all of our products are indeed on our site, and there are no current technical issues, so we are not sure why you wouldn’t be seeing them. Perhaps clear your cache and cookies, and maybe try another browser
Dang. I was hoping this would have fit two pairs of the ultra plus cuffs. I personally would only buy this if the sentry cuffs were made in aluminum to match the color of my ultras plus cuffs.
These things look way too cool and the colors are tasteful but they're literally that trope, "Awesome, but impractical" because of the attention-grabbing design. Hate to be a 🤓, but I just had to comment because man they look seriously cool.

There really isn’t a specific technical answer to what the lifespan may be. Sentry cuffs are built to survive tough, professional use by law enforcement officers on the street. Used properly, and maintained at a basic level (kept clean, particularly in the lock set area), the cuffs should perform well for many, many years.
Hoping I will not regret buying this model. There is little to no information outside of this one video. Also didnt see the ceramic tip add on during checkout. Had to buy from amazon and will just do it myself so I could have it in time before I leave. At the price point hoping it far and exceeds anything else on the market although there are reviews out there that say otherwise…
We only have Metro Defenders and Sport Defenders. Available in D1 or D2. More information regarding the Defenders can be found here www.asp-usa.com/collections/personal-safety
I just had a T50 taken out of storage fail in the deployed state. I never knew they need to be lubed. ASP was good and replaced it with new one. Great company stands by thier products 👌🏻
Will the Combo case fit a Frictionlock P12 baton? Recently transitioned to a plainclothes position and trying to figure out the best ways to carry everything.

What abaut a hard tests, how 4140 fricional lock baton made of hardened steel is strong, the ESP batons are durable. Are ASP fricional lock baton made of hardened steel krupp 4140 is same hard?@@aspusa1
Just got the talon baton infinity excited until how much it wobbles, makes it feel a bit cheap. Is this normal or should i return it? I was expecting that this baton would be solid and feel more sturdy. My first one aswell. Let me know please.
There will be slight play in the Talon as it is a disk lock system and the Friction does not move due to the “friction” lock system. Friction batons lock in place due to tapers in the shafts-when extended, this progressive taper solidly locks all three sections into place. The Talon design, however, has straight tubes with no taper. Instead, it uses an internal mechanical system to lock the shafts in the extended position. In order for this system to lock and unlock smoothly, there needs to be a little bit of clearance between each section. So you might perceive a slight amount of “play” in the shafts, but this is completely normal. It in no way compromises the integrity or strength of the baton. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at customerservice@asp-usa.com
The laws regarding purchase, ownership, carry and use of expandable batons vary from state to state, and just like any weapon, it is critical that potential buyers be aware of, and abide by, the laws that apply to them. ASP batons are intended primarily for use by law enforcement officers, but may be purchased by civilians who either possess concealed carry licenses that include non-firearm weapons such as batons, or who live in states and localities that permit it. We require all buyers to acknowledge that they are aware of and are complying with all applicable laws, and of course ASP absolutely does not condone or approve of any unauthorized or unlawful use, whether for self-defense or for any other reason.
Actually “popularity” is very subjective in this case-most of our baton styles sell equally well. There are many law enforcement agencies that issue our Friction Batons, and many others that issue our Talons. Both styles are exceptionally tough and durable. Friction Batons have been proven on the street for decades, and many agencies and officers still select them for their simplicity. The state-of-the-art Talon is more versatile and convenient to use, as it is closed without the impact needed to close a Friction model; but the tradeoff is that there are some moving parts inside, which may at times require maintenance. At the end of the day, baton choice is largely a matter of agency/officer preference, mission and policies.
While our keys are ideally designed for ASP handcuffs, they do follow the industry standard and will work fine for professional-grade restraints from S&W, Peerless and other quality law enforcement brands
Please watch the video closely, all the steps for adjusting the retaining clip are shown. If you are still having difficulties, please contact customerservice@asp-usa.com, explain the problem clearly, and if possible send photos (or better yet video) clearly showing the problem. They would be in the best position to assist you.
My baton has this clip , but it's at the very base of the hand I am unable to Collapse my expandable baton, This pen piece you are showing here is not something that is small enough to fit in any other part of the Baton. It is at the very bottom of the handle
The retaining clip does not affect collapsing the baton, only opening. The best thing to do is contact customerservice@asp-usa.com, explain the problem clearly, and if possible send photos (or better yet video) clearly showing the problem. They would be in the best position to assist you.
If you are opening your Friction Baton correctly as per ASP training, it should lock securely. If a Friction Baton closes too easily, it is almost always either due to improper opening technique, or damage to the baton. The best thing to do is contact customerservice@asp-usa.com, explain the problem clearly, and if possible send photos (or better yet video) clearly showing the problem. They would be in the best position to assist you.
Absolutely lovely handcuffs. I put one out dispelling some of the out-dated negativity of the past that still lingers. Handcuffed people should be searched for keys/tools as usual, but I do think you could look into re-designing the part of the double lock that the key interacts with to disengage the DL. As it stands, every security level lock-set can be easily opened in the exact same way, even high security blue. Disengage DL (since it's right close in the open keyway and easy to flick off) and shim with paper or any improvised or purchased shim. But either way, I love all the more modern aluminium or steel ASP cuffs! 😍 Very, very high quality. Even both budget sentry models 👍
One other thing though, the pricing on your new rigid ultra plus cuffs is off the charts... $200 for 1 set of standard level mechanism rigid cuffs. Rigid are rare enough in the US as it is, but I highly doubt those will be a big seller because the price is astronomical on those rigids. I think you are on the right track with the Sentry line. Make things people can actually afford and that will sell well. To blow things out of proportion to understand the difference, it's better to sell 3 billion sets of handcuffs over 10 years for $1 each than it is to sell 10,000 sets of handcuffs over 10 yeas costing $10,000 each. The more affordable they are, the more individuals, security companies, police departments and federal LEO will buy who would otherwise spend their money elsewhere on the cheaper industry standard brands.
These are primarily internal model designations that change from production run to production run and generation to generation. They don’t really have much meaning to buyers or end users. The reliable and consistent information to the outside world is the product name and item/SKU number.
Please contact customerservice@asp-usa.com, tell them which exact baton model you have, how old it is, and further describe the issue (too difficult to open, too difficult to close, etc.). Photos/videaos are always helpful in understanding any issues. Our customer service department will be happy to try to assist.
Simply press up (towards the top of the case) with your thumb on the locking tab, while pulling the clip open with your index finger. Note that these cases are designed to stay secure in very dynamic situations, so it does take a bit of pressure to unlock.
