Mabel The Whoodle adventures and tips on grooming your dog at home. We want to help pet owners take care of their "Oodle" coats, this includes everything from brushing to full haircuts on your goldendoodle, sheepadoodle, bernadoodle, most any breed that would need a hair cut. We want to help get rid of the stigma that come sometimes come with caring for these breeds. While it is hard work and requires upkeep, grooming your dog at home, or doing small things like trimming around the eyes between professional grooms is possible, and we will help you do it.
My doggo is a male so he doesn't have HooHaa... But he sure does have something else that is much much more delicate 😢😢😢 So I am afraid but have to do it 😢
This was a good informative video. Thank you! My malti-poo puppy lets me do anything except touch his face! He finally lets me bathe his face but still hates brushing very much. I want to get him comfortable with his face being touched to make him more comfortable with me and his groomer. Thanks again!
Can I get an etymology on the word “hooha”? Honestly, I can’t figure out what’s wrong with the word vulva! No need to be embarrassed over it. Anyway, I trim a good number of hair coated dogs, and my experience is they can build up quite a mess back there unless you do a nice clean sanitary trim. I consider it the most important part of dog grooming, and it’s where I use the most care. Not only because I don’t want to injure the dog, but because hair allows debris to build up. Girl dogs especially sit right on the vulva, and if it’s wet at all, it collects dirt! Keep the hair nice and short and it stays clean and fresh and your dog is less likely to get a UTI or dirty your carpet.
Looks like your Whoodle was having lots of fun. I can only imagine it was a cooler time of the year as my two can't tolerate the heat of Florida for more than 20 minutes before they go inside acting like they are going to die from the heat. They do love the cold spells in the winter.
I wish I had found this short yesterday. First time owner and my girl got too much off her backside 😂. Oh and a bit of razor burn and I thought I was being careful…
Thank you so very much for your total groom. I have a 5 month Goldendoodle, and am learning all I can. I have the same Andis clipper, but different combs. Keep posting, you have been very helpful with your young baby.
Thank you for sharing this. I have a 5 month old Maltese puppy that I'm learning to groom myself. She hates grooming and I'm trying my best to make it a positive experience for her. Today I started the chin hold technique in your video and I can see that it's going to help a great deal.
