Hey Sis, I am so interested in being a part of this community. Just got to your channel. How can I contact you and get this done asap! Thanks for showcasing how beautiful our Country is..❤
Thanks, my sister, for all the information. Everything you said is ver very true. If we Liberian that life abroad and in start to right things in making our country a clean and well developed for people to come to it will be great. I visited Ghana and felt very comfortable. Especially with their transportation system. Were you called for ride and come pick you and bring you back. You Don't have to depend on someone give you a ride or take public transport when you are visiting. Liberia really really needs a lot to be done. I believe with you that it will get better only when our mindset is changed. Thanks so much for always giving us this important information.
I like your way of thinking. I believe many Liberians are working to come back. Once we get past the heartbreaks our people give us whenever we try to do something to help.
Your narrative is true. I have been out of Liberia for over five years now. Whenever I sit with other nationals from Africa, they always want to go back home carrying more innovation and businesses. But when I sit with my fellow Liberians, they make it look like going back to Liberia is a sin. The amount of very smart Liberians outside Liberia that are refusing to come back home is so many. This reality is sad and I hope that our professionals Liberians can come back home with these skills and resources.
One of the problems we have as Liberians is that majority of us do not see the good side of Liberia despite the circumstances Liberia faces. How many Ghanaians , Nigerians, Kenyans, etc you see batching their country every single time. Because of the way we portray Liberia out to the world has influenced a lot of investors to go away from our beautiful country. I know a Liberian lady who just got back from Liberia to the USA, when asked on her job how was her trip, she replied “that dirty country, is that the Liberia they always talk about?” I’m not taking my kids to such a nasty country. A lot of native people trying to hold my children. This was someone who was born and raised in Liberia. The so called American mentality. This lady also work in a nursing home imagine. She’s talking about nasty and dirty what more nasty and dirty than working in a nursing home.
Maryann this was a very well done video which was comprehensive, encouraging, uplifting and very foresighted. I have encouraged Liberians to return home and bring their skills and rebuild and be a part of the African Renaissance.. Congratulations🎉
You are now making the excuses, because you were comparing Ghana and Nigeria to Liberia. Where’s Rwanda coming from? Liberians are doing great things to uplift our country. Liberia is a very rich country with natural resources and Liberia is the second largest shipping rental on oceans. Where’s the money going? Talk about the good things that are happening in Liberia first before comparison. Ghanaian have always been about the development of their country. Nigerians have always done the same. We need to elect people who have plans for the country not those who have plans for their families only. Keep doing your thing please be realistic okay, good luck.❤
Another excuse! Western nations declared war on each other, and today they great nations. Germane, the US, Italy, went through war too. China, Japan, Vietman, and other Asian countries went through war as well and they are doing great.
SISTER SAY THAT!!!!!!!! OMGGGGGGGoshhhhhhhhh Now you are speaking to my spirit. The first 5 minutes express EXACTLY why so many African Americans like me, are tired of "trying to prove ourselves." We identify returning to a homeland that many of us do not know, but would rather try that and not have to live under the cloud of the west. Im listening to your videos, it's not going to be perfect, but girl, the west is not the only option anymore.
Also, part of growth is being able to self reflect. Liberians must be willing to self reflect...how can we be better? I hope to see LB clean up. No reason Rwanda can do it and LB can't.
Besides restaurants, Liberia has no Attractions or things to see, explore etc., yet they talk about boosting tourism. Tell me how? What can people expect to see or experience when they visit such an underdeveloped country? Even their so called development seh lacks quality. I saw a recent video of some African Americans visitors touring Liberia and I was sad to be a Liberian tht day. The entire grand bassa is nothing but bushes. No nothing to see or enjoy. Complete forest. Like an abandoned ghost town. Why are the people of Liberia so unserious? I was truly embarrassed. And the silly clown gal in the car telling the people how Maryland sooo beautiful. Idk if Liberians have their own definition in the dictionary they used to described beautiful the rest of us know nothing about because only God knows what they see in Liberia to be considered beautiful or sooo beautiful. I was so livid, it was as if I could jump thru the screen and slap the bold face ignorance out of her face. Because what a bold display of her poor country with such unserious people. What a shame. Even the people seemed so unimpressed. Their faces tell, ‘get me back on the plane, let me go back to America.’ This is why nobody respect us because look at your country? After all these years being war free and still nothing to show for it. It’s sad. If I didn’t have the Liberian accent, no one would know I am Liberian because I am truly ashamed of tht country, including her so called leaders or people. True disgrace There are many poaces to visits in Ghana tht up to top tier standard development like Ghana their White Castle, Eiffel towers, kwame Nkrumah grave site, the Atlantic slave castle, the large attraction in middle of the city with the Ghana black star in the middle. Like you said, their restaurants, leisure or amusements sites are top tier! Their roads connectivity or massive infrastructure, massive constructions, not to talk about their bridges. Liberia is the only country in Africa, more specifically the West who failed to love themselves! It sad to be a Liberian with a different mindset because the issues is frustrating My Ghanaian side comes through and I find myself frustrated to be a Liberian. As it extremely challenging to deal with liberians or how they think. Idk what’s going to change these people What kinda country is this?
