Thank you for your review. I have a 2020 vmax and only have 3 choices for the rear 200/50/18. The ME888, the Bridgestone stock Battlax, and the shinkos. I ride year round like you and I need good grip in the cold and wet. Would you recommend these over the stock bridgestone and the shinkos? Thank you.
Shinko 777s are awesome. I’ve had four sets of them. They’re very sticky, but they do wear down quick. My Triumph Thunderbird had the ME 880s. And I also had the ME 888s on my Stryker and my Victory Hammer I like the triple eights as well. The best all-around performance I ever had was from the Michelin Road 6 GT Tires on my ZX 14, and the Michelin Commander twos and threes are fantastic in all weather. I would pick any of these over the Bridgestones.
@@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 Thank you very much. I would love to get the Michelin road 6 but they don’t make them in my size. So, would you do the metzler me888 then as the best option over the Bridgestone and shinko?
@@GreggyGTV if you cannot find commander twos or threes then yes. Even if you have to mix and match a set of commanders with a two on the front and a three on the back, that works out very well too.
@@tgmotorider.narratinglifeo3480 Thank you. For the rear, I only have those three options, so I’m concerned about mixing different brands for front and rear.
Great video. Cobra has an air intake for these that looks better and out performs stock. Plus it’s actual metal which is a common gripe. I’ve had mine stock w/ some bags a few years and it’s been great. Now it’s time to start adding some upgrades.
That happened at totally separate times. When I was ready to pull the trigger on a new sport bike. And I had budget restraints with my trade-ins. But R8 is an amazing machine and I’m very happy with it. For touring I do have the Valkyrie. Thank you for watching. I rotate my bikes out a lot.
I've had this bike for a year now.. (Triton blue)... ive been riding for 52 years and bike number nineteen... By far the best bike ive ever owned/ridden.. It is everything you need. In my humble opinion It all boils down to two things : Comfort and Confidence . If you get that from a bike you will ride everyday in all weather's. 😊
That seems like a terrific bike. As an admirer of the Fury and a one-day-I'll owner of a VTX1300, this is a very interesting bike. I'm planning to visit USA in January and ride some of the roads along the very bottom of the country. If you're along that way, would love to cross paths. Great vid as always mate.
It my be just how the camera is catching it, but would not like that big blind windshield. if it was clear, it would be ok, but seems like a gigantic blind in front of you, seems dangerous.. Especially at night!! But this is another bike I'd love to have.
I have a 2015 Stateline, in my opinion this is the best metric cruiser ever (and I've owned a few). It's a pure traditional v twin motorcycle. No stupid unnecessary electronics or tech, that will eventually date the bike or that will go bad with age. Just a speedo, odometer, tip and clock, Thats all!!! Thats all you really need anyway!!! Very little maintenance needed on this bike, shaft drive no chain maintenance. Great torqe and power, and still 50ish mpg, almost ridiculous reliability, the best Honda engineering has to offer. Looks great, styling that won't look dated with age. Super smooth and comfortable. Also and most of all AFFORDABLE!!!! I bought mine 6 years ago new as it was an unsold leftover, and gave 2000$ under original MSRP!!! But even gently used go for 6-7 grand generally with very low miles.... WELL WORTH IT!!! I will have this bike till I am unable to ride anymore, YES it's that good and i love it that much!!! If you looking for a good metric v twin. THIS IS THE BIKE!!!👍 BTW love the review and channel, looking forward to more🤙chris from S.E. iowa
I was stopped at a local cafe and Mrs and I went and sat down, next to this old fella sharing the table. He noticed the bike gear and asked what I was riding. We got to talking and he comes over and has a look a the Boulevard. Hmmm V twin he goes. You should really look at getting a Goldwing he suggests. So I did. Got a 2004 for 12 grand Australian dollars that is with touring seat for the Mrs. And now I wonder why I didn’t run into that old fella years ago. Fantastic ride.
imo they made the stateline/interstate/sabre with too much fury design influence. with the rake and streched look of the tank the bike looks...flat? much prefer the vtx 1300/1800 tank design. i do agree that the fi 1300 motor is awesome and the fury should have had the 1800 motor, even tho the 1300 has a much better sound, once again imo
Thank you from a New England Daily Driver. Just got a DL650, getting ready for the nasty weather and Im wondering how it will do. So thank you for making these vids. Please keep makin them! 👍
Thanks for the review. I am curious, though, about the gas mileage. The Harley guys I know say they get 45 to 50 with the same size engine. I wonder why these are a bit thirstier.
Just sat on one yesterday, and I couldn't believe how much room I had on this bike. I'm 6' 7" and ride a road glide, but kinda fell in love with the 8r !
