so basically the whole video ia about shitting on characters for doing most of the stuff wrong or not doing enough, but if you saw people floating in the air like they did, you'd quit the job... bruh stick to reacting and analyzing of either the tactical side of the film or fictional components of the story
"they look like a bunch of kids who took on a mission and have no idea what they are doing ", congratulations, thats how every team in SCP universe operates... I'd advise you guys to do at least someone research into what you're looking on screen instead of just turning on the camera and "getting pissed off"... For fucks sake you didn't know what SCP is from the beginning
From a film perspective it would be cool to have you guys on it but you might yourself conflicting woth the director and writer sometimes. Like Lets say you guys wanted a tactic done a certain way but the writer states that would take too long we need to get the story moving so we need to cut it down in a different way. Is there any way we can make it shorter and still look fluid. There also Lore as well like in the SCP dollhouse you guys were wondering why they didnt save their glitched comrade. Well SCP they dont know what woupdve happened if they touched him BUT they should definitely get you guys on board to make an awesome film on how government or how military procedures would deal with weird stuff Ypu guys might see why certain stuff had to be done they way they did it but you guys would also make it better with more perspectives than just 1 guy who helped with the military stuff
One thing about film making, they are using NODs because it IS near pitch black for them, but having it in that environment would mean us the viewers wouldn't be able to see anything. Hence why the lighting is brighter then when NODs would be used IRL. Because the viewer still needs to be able to watch the movie.
Not knocking everything else ya'll said though, far more qualified than I am. There are SCPs that react to light that I've read in the past, so that could also be why they are using NOds. though, I'd be interested to see you guys play SCP:5K, that would be really cool to see how you guys would approach a situation. Another thing about MTF squads. They are so used to the people on their team dying or whatnot because the mortality rate is so damned high, so chances are they may or may not have known each other for awhile. But the nice thing about SCP is that its a community with no real cannon, so in theory if you guys wanted you can create your own MTF squad in lore that operates based on your experience IRL, and I think the community would go wild with an MTF unit built off of real world experience.
also the reason they got caught up on the guy was because he was potentially an anomaly (I think) so just because they smoked him, doesn't fully negate him being a threat
Ryan definitely did it right, going to these places super low key.. When I travelled to Ukraine in February 2023, the advice I was given was to "Bring everything you need!" And I had my patrol rucksack with my helmet attached outside because I couldn't get it inside, a full Military type Ruck, as well as a huge 144L duffle bag, packed with everything from boots, and Multi cam uniforms, to parachute cord and green tape! Everyone in my local airport in the UK knew where I was going, everyone in Kracow knew, everyone at Medyka border crossing could tell, just by looking at my 160lbs of military equipment in 3 bags.. And when you're on your own, hearing stories about volunteers and soldiers nearly getting poisoned with free food and drinks or guys getting abduction attempts against them, it spikes the old spider senses a bit.
@thelklad7940 No mate, home now, I didn't stay long, I couldn't as a married man with kids, I had other commitments, but some blokes have been there over a year! Some, since the beginning.. They are real heroes.. Why do you ask?

i mean, not to necro a 3 year old video, but, talking about going through the basement wall with it just being drywall. But, it's a basement and foundational support, I'm sure it's that safe door is mounted into a concrete box. You'd have a better time breaking a hole through the floor above and dropping in if you were going to go the demolition route
That shotgun you saw was the Russian KS-23 6 gauge shotgun. It is a 23mm discarded anti aircraft gun barrel. This thing is a MONSTER of Russian engineering. Basically the Russians were like "see that anti aircraft gun? Let's make it shoulder fired." Honestly it's a wonder how that thing doesn't blow someone completely in half when it fires slugs. It's a mean ass shotgun.
All MTF operatives were them when approaching a new anomalous entity as a precaution against any airborne anomalous properties that can harm alter or otherwise affect the MTF force

I have no doubt that Chappy's last thoughts and words were "Get some motherfuckers!" What a legend. A Hero and his name shall live on with great respect. He should've never been stranded like that. Appalling.
Realism to actual military in a film like this honestly isn’t needed especially since the specific unit/“Task Force” doesn’t even deal with actual human subjects they are specifically trained and made to deal with anomalous things or entities, the units that would actually be trained for human contact would be Alpha-1 or Nu-7 ( nu-7 is shown in this film but not Alpha-1. ) I know I’m late on this but If you want to read information on the SCP tasks force or the SCP lore I reccomend checking out the SCP Wiki.
No respect these guys and by guys I mean the people playing the soldiers in the film did an amazing job and saying the gas mask has no purpose dude it keeps out any toxin or poison gas that might be in the air 😒 the suits and gear top 10 awesome. Let's see you guys do better then them
A lot of what they say hits home for even just a lowlife regular grunt from 3/7 we had shit for gear couldn’t get MRE’s so ate like 1 or 2 a day. Ready to fight 1000’s of Iraqi army and only found a small number of loyal fighters. Slept in the dirt or in the Amtraks if you could. I only had one sappy plate the whole 9 month in country. Embrace the suck!
I love my SF and infantry brothers. I was a POG in support, though my MOS got changed to combat arms (21T to 12T). All I can say is that US Army Basic Combat Training teaches us all of this. I wish I had more iterations of training. I remember leading a team and squad in sergeant school: Warrior Leaders Course (WLC) and had my team charge a close machine gun fire position. The OC (Observer Controller) asked how I knew to do that. I said that I learned it from Band of Brothers. It isn't doctrine. But it is a better option than being pinned down and killed. I also had some exceptional NCO's and Officers that served in combat who wanted to make sure that they could trust me on their left or right. That is it. It might suck to be an E1-3. If you're an E4 your best listen and learn. You will either leave service or get promoted. Because customs and courtesies are a reflection of your combat discipline and vice versa.
Three years later and I still don't understand the hate for the SCP vids. EFT promos were made by a game production studio that raked in millions of USD in presales and DLC for a game that is still in development. A studio that is still finding ways to screw over its audience by using pay to win tactics. The SCP videos were small budget passion projects made by gamers who took time out to make a video with their airsoft gear. Budgets matter.
When I see somebody in uniform, I'm not sure they really are in the military. There have been far too many cases of stolen valor. i used to buy a cuppa coffee for somebody at Starbucks if they were wearing a uniform, sometimes I would pay for their groceries in the store. I no longer do that. I no longer trust that wearing a uniform it means the person is really truly in the military.
Its fucking terrifying that these special forces people exist. 0 empathy 0 humanity 100% destruction. These dudes reacting would 100% do exactly what walker would of done 5000 times over just to be "a hero" and kill "the bad guys". Fucking sociopaths

I have listened to Commander speak and as a leader and defender he sets a high societal standard on global scale.❤
Bruh they can literally join the military as a 42 alpha or a 92 yankee if they wanted to, and if they dont want to do full-time active duty, there are reserves or national guard. It's pretty easy to join as long as you are somewhat physically fit and mentally tough enough to tolerate screaming.
