As I sit down to write this farewell, I’m overwhelmed with a mix of gratitude and sadness. Your channel was more than just a source of drumming techniques; it was a space where passion and skill merged into something truly extraordinary. Your tutorials, performances, and insights into DCI snare drumming transformed my approach to the craft and ignited a deeper love for the art. Though your absence leaves a void in the drumming community, the legacy of your work will continue to inspire and guide us. Thank you for sharing your immense talent and for being a beacon of creativity and encouragement. Your impact will echo in every beat and rhythm I play, and for that, I am profoundly grateful. Farewell, and may your future endeavors be as brilliant as the rhythms you’ve gifted us.
Your passion for drumming and creativity was truly unmatched. I’ll really miss watching your content and seeing what you come up with next. Wishing you all the best in whatever comes next for you. See you soon 🙏
idk if its just the video but the mellos don't sound the greatest. this show just seems like a hodgepodge of random music that they couldnt decide between and really lacks a standout moment from any section. the falloff of the cavaliers needs to be studied.
i agree that it’s an odd rule to uphold, and while i’m not particularly in support of it, i’ve heard that they are respectful to people of all genders and anyone who isn’t does not represent the cavaliers. i do think they should become co-ed, but from what i understand it is not out of malice or misogyny. nonetheless, it does take away the opportunity of marching for a massive amount of people
The "wearing dresses" part is disagreeable to me, because as time passes the design of uniforms becomes nebulous; it's just part of a show. But I concur that coed Cavies is long overdue. "Tradition" has historically never been a good reason for justifying aversion to progressivism.
What about “No Video or Audio Recording” allowed? You are showing disrespect by posting this low quality video. I was there. It was a great performance by all of the corps!!
I know DCI focuses on music education, but it’s disappointing to see the Cavaliers not performing at the level we expect. This is the dci Super Bowl. While they are improving, the main issues, such as the lack of a standout trumpet screamer, remain unresolved. Additionally, their musical arrangements seem underdeveloped and the melodies are confusing. I appreciate their commitment to tradition, but they need to find a winning formula.
So many great things happening but it’s so hard to listen to the trumpet screamer. it’s too late in the season for this.. and it is the fact that they have done nothing to change it so clearly he THINKS he sounds good. and he just keeps playing when he can’t get it out. i mean it went on for a good 8 counts and nothing changed. yikes. other than that, this is looking pretty good. and that guard 😍 keep up the work
Cavies aren't even halfway in their season yet. I'd still say there's still plenty of time to make changes, which I have no doubt will come as the season progresses. Cavies last year were night and day from mid season to end season. I remember seeing people dissing the percussion a ton, then they went on to win it
I would break down the rhythms and go measure by measure learning it at a slow tempo first before you try to play it at actual speed. Learning the music slow will help you be able to understand the counting better and where the down beats are.💯
hey man, good stuff on most rhythms. i can tell you really like boston lol. one thing is try and keep your rolls down. you’re playing fortissimo a lot of the time when it’s mp/mf. lower your shoulders and don’t be so tense and you’ll look so much better while you play
Yeah Man! good job. But lower your stick height, i play this same snare peice. and use more wrist and make the buzzez and roles more clear. and make sure to hit the accsents at the right spot and make them sound more clear. good job though
