The round wooden knob handle needs to stay loose at the top of the threaded screw for proper winding. You must use some thin end wrenches or adjustable wrenches to tighten the nuts that secure the post to the round disk. Make sure that the bottom of the post does not start scraping agains the wooden base as it will start carving into the wood..This requires that you tighten the lower nut tightly with not more than one or two threads showing underneath. If the threaded post is screwed in to close to the wood base it will be a problem scraping the finish and causing noise. So examine closely when you are trying to tighten the securing nuts in relation to the threaded post. Adjust post height by adjusting the upper and lower nuts. Be sure to tighten them sufficiently so that the threaded post is unable to turn but the round wooden knob is allowed to be loose.
Instructions written on the leaflet are confusing sometimes. That's why we send the link of our RU-vid video for instructions. You can check the video and try assembling. I'm sure I'll workout. Thanks.
Thank you for this video! I just received this exact winder for Christmas, and it had no assembling directions. I figured everything out but had no clue what the rectangular piece was for.😂
