I couldn't be friends with anyone who didn't like Count Arthur Strong.

I never appreciated what a clever physical and visual act CAS was because that just doesn’t come across on the radio (ha); but his physical gags are superbly executed with meticulous timing. That business he does walking to the plane in the flying lesson episode is really really clever and not only is it appallingly dithery, but it’s also completely credible despite the awkward exaggeration. I guess Harry Worth must be a bit of inspiration for the character; there’s an obvious resemblance, but both styles are distinctly different.

I liked the TV shows. Hearing Count Athur on the radio was a treat , his insular attitude and opinions were so well delivered comically. In the shows on TV it was great to see the physical mannerisms portrayed. For me it brought Arthur to life in a good way.
