When editing a question, select the Extra tab, then enable paginate. You can see more details on the documentation page here: hdplugins.com/learn/hd-quiz/hd-quiz-documentation/#extra
Hi AFI, it 100% works on mobile phones. You probably have a caching issue on your site. You can use the support forum to request help tracking down the issue.
Awesome video. I am useless when it comes to classes, and always get stuck when it comes to Vanilla JS. This helped me a lot! it was precisely what I needed. Spot on! my active class works, but it doesn't follow the transition rules like the scrolling does. Any idea why?
Do you mean the active class isn't changing to the center element? Or that the CSS animation isn't working? I have the project up on github (link in description) if you want to take a look at the "completed" code.
was wondering, why did you mark your methods with async? like "async getSize()", i noticed it will let you to do "await this.getSize()". but is the DOMElement.clientWidth a Promise? sorry im new in javascript DOM
Nice plugin, is there any chance of enabling or having a “Certificate of Completion” feature. So successful users can download it as a PDf or have it emailed to them?
Not by default, bit it is certainly possible to add something like this in. I won't be adding it in as a core feature, simply because of the sheer amount of variation in design and content that the certificates would need to be able to achieve to satisfy all users. *Perhaps* a simple version can be added to the Save Results Pro addon. If you are a developer, I recommend looking at the `hdq_submit` action as a starting point. You can use this to create a custom function on quiz submission that generates a custom certificate for you.
@@HarmonicDesign thanks for the info, I’m not a developer, but have been searching for something like this, just this one feature missing. If you have something done for this, please let me know
You can use Title as a question type to group/categorize questions within a quiz. The paginate feature is also very useful for separating groups of questions. The only downside to the Title question type is that you cannot use random question order
Great Plugin .. I am working working on a Spelling bee Website project .. And we will need a fixture that pronounced words correctly for Studenr to spell and can also have multiples pronunciation page that can generate score and also shared result
HD Quiz has a feature where you can add extra content to each question. You can either do this in the "tooltip" which appears in the question title, or using the "extra text" which only shows after a question has been answers/completed. I think that you could embed audio of the correct pronunciation in either of these
way to make a video about a commenting system that you cant actually post to, I was trying to figure out how to put a commenting system on my website without having to use a 3rd party so I watched over an hour an a half worth of content just to find out that its not at all what I need. You talk about a wordpress site at the end of your video so I go to your channel to look for it and the next video was about a quiz system on wordpress and not a commenting system. Complete waste of time.
There is a way, but it would require adding extra code to your site. HD Quiz has an "on submit" action that allows you to run a custom function once a quiz has been completed. You could use this to update a record in your database that keeps track of the total, and use "hdq_before" action to print this value before each quiz. You can contact me on the support forum for more details.
I'm not 100% sure what your question means, but there is no limit to how many people can take a quiz., or how many questions a quiz can have. If you want to track how many people take a quiz, there is the FREE Save Results Light addon (can also track logged in users). If you need to know *who* is taking your quiz (if they are not logged into your site), there is the paid pro addon.
You didn't really show why your friend loses in the end, but kudos for trying. He will "know when to quit" and he will also never spend 17 hours at the table... even though he probably would if this was actually a winning strategy... :/ also there are tweaks to the algo that can make it seem different, but isn't.
Hi starsmasound , it 100% works. Please see this previous support thread. You are probably using page caching and caching the page, or have another plugin installed that forces queries to always return in the same order. wordpress.org/support/topic/no-new-questions-when-page-reloads-pool-of-questions/
No plugin should do this automatically for you (at least not by default) as most people would want to add quizzes where they want instead of forcing new pages for them. This way they can fully control the pages and control when these pages become public. However, HD Quiz has a superpower - it uses WordPress' native taxonomies to house quizzes. In short, what this means is that it should be possible to "hook into" when you create a new quiz with HD Quiz, and to then automatically create a new post and auto insert the shortcode. You can contact me on the HDPlugins support page (link in description and pinned comment) and I can show you how to set this up
@@HarmonicDesign nice. but in qsm, it already use native taxonomy, only thing is it doesn't make entries in term relationship table. if we already have post, and we can auto post in perticular page, then we should also have capability to filter as per different subjects topics on different pages to avoid manual work of making another page or post and insert shortcut there, why to have two page if we can get work done using single one..and its already working . only thing limiting is we cant show as per category. tried a free plugin custom blog module, added taxonomy relationship in table manually, but that didnt work too..
HD QUIZ - WARNING: There is more than one quiz on this page. Due to the complexity of HD Quiz, only one quiz should on a page at a time. Can you help me with this error please?
Hi there, as the message states, you can only have one quiz on the page at a time, but it seems that you have added at least two to the same page. To fix, make sure that you are only adding a single quiz to a page. If you want to link them all up, there are two good options. 1) Create a new post Category called "quizzes" and then add each quiz to a new post attached to this new category. 2) Add each quiz to a new page, then create a "master" page that you can use to add links to each of them.

If you're doing standard Martingale on red/black and you're up over 10% of your investment, that is a good run & should be a walk away to fight another day. The mistake the script made was playing too long :-P lol 284 spins would be like 6 hours or more at a roulette table (even an ETG, that's HOURS of play), I don't think anyone in their right mind would do that. One thing I've told anyone looking in to getting in to Roulette like I now am, set an alarm and only stay on the table for an hour, if you're up at the end of that hour, walk & save it for another day, if you're down, take one stab at getting back to or above even (with a fat 2 dozens + 0/00 split bet) then call it a day. One thing anyone actually wanting to do Martingale on a table or an ETG needs to keep in mind, bet limits vary, a lot, especially on outside bets on ETGs, which black/red is, a lot ETGs that claim the maximum bet is $1000 will only let you do $500 on red or black. Not sure if actual tables are the same way, but I'm sure a lot of them are.
HD Quiz is compatible with WordPress' native import/export tool. Log into your site and go to Tools -> Export. WordPress will give you some options about what types of data you want to export - make sure that only Questions is selected. This will then generate an XML export file that you can use to import into a new site.
your plugin is amazing and the more amazing that it is free !!!! so please i hope you add this feature to your quiz plugin so we can add pause time after any questions we want so we can show the users a sponsored publicity like image or video and then time will complete counting
please can i use that plugin to create qiuz with timer per question and the users can not go to the next question until the timer is end even if the answer is wrong or correct so all the users will see all questions in the same time
HD Quiz is fully compatible with WordPress' native import/export tool! Log into your site and go to tools -> export. You will be presented with a list of "things" to export. Select Questions and continue with the export to get an XML file. You can then log into your new site and use the import tool to upload that XML file and that's it! This will carry over all quizzes, questions, and settings EXCEPT any settings you have in the HD Quiz -> About / Options page.
Hi. Is there any setting to make one question per page look and when we have click button as "Next" it can show 2nd question. As of now it shows all questions in same page together. can you suggest
Hi Navin. The feature you are looking for is called Pagination. When editing a question, select the "Extra" tab and then enable "Paginate". This will hide this question and all that follows behind a "next" button (you can rename the buttons from the HD Quiz about / options page). I do not recommend enabling this on your first question, or users will need to select "next" to be able to see it.
Great minds think alike! I am a guitarist too my man....and my father in law claims to "know how to win roulette" and I just created a Google Sheet to load random numbers (spins) and do calculations...each change to the sheet loads 100 new random spins and does totals...maybe not as pro as yours, in a short time I can calculate thousands of spins...my verdicvt? The house WILL win :-). The logic fallaices are rampant among players such as "if red wins 10x in a row, it HAS to be black next time..." or "If this third keeps losing, switch thrids..." Or "If I lose, I leave and come back tomorrow and start fresh" - i.e. the wheel and your bank account don't care if you are losing on the same day or the next day :-) I think the dopamine kick when someone wins completely skews the long term view of what happens to their money over time. Thank you for your vid.
bro no dis ok, but your way of thinking is weak, firstly I can't understand how one can simulate roulette spins .answer this question if we assume that all roulette spins are totally random, is it not possible in let's say 1000 spins to spin 1000 blacks .or 1000 reds, or 500 blacks and 500 reds, we both know this is possible but highly improbable, but my point is anything is possible in a random game so you cannot simulate it accurately to prove anything, and secondly your friend is extremely dumb to play 1000 spins using only black. if your friend is using a 1000-dollar bankroll and starting with a one-dollar unit bet, he/she will have nine spins of protection before losing it all which will look like this using the martingale strategy 1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512, and on the tenth spin, he/she will fall a bit short on that bet by around 23 dollars. the reason why your friend will lose is not because of the money ok. the martingale strategy to me is a perfect betting style of play, there is nothing wrong with it, it does exactly what it is designed for, which is to return a one-unit profit to the player after every win, the key here is the words( AFTER EVERY WIN )the martingale is only a strategy using math to return your bankroll to the player with a small profit, for this to work the player has to get the win if the player fails to make the right decision on where to place his/her bet and goes on a streak of loses beyond his/her bankroll capability, the fault is with the player, not the strategy
The classic martingale betting strategy that every newbie thinks at first he found the HG. If it was something that simple casinos wouldn't exist for centuries. A solution to that for the players is to play after 4 reds in a row that black will come but not for more than 3-4 steps. It does not mean you will win because we all know roulette does not have memory but it is very hard to lose. Roulette can be beaten only by physics science and technology devices. Other than that you just bet and hope to be lucky. But luck is not forever...
Hi Worlzu, HD Quiz absolutely works on mobile, so there must be something specific about your site. I cannot help you debug without a link to a quiz on your site, but one of the more common issues of broken plugins is a corrupted cache. If you are using a page caching plugin, usually clearing your site cache will fix the issue.
Is there no part 3? it's been 3 years. I really enjoyed parts 1 and 2. I'm using it as a feature for my capstone in school. But I have no experience with Wordpress. I was hoping this tutorial would've included that... now I feel stuck.
Hi, If I create multiple quizzes say like physics (100 questions), maths (60 questions), chemistry (80 questions). And now I want to create create a new quiz that takes the question from the above existing ones. Say like 20 from maths, 15 from physics, 15 from chemistry randomly everytime. Is it possible?
The "randomly" and "every time" parts of your request is where things get messy. This is absolutely not something that HD Quiz has built in, and it is not something that will ever be built in as a feature. However.... A Quiz is basically just a Category that houses Questions. So in order to do what you need, you would need to create a custom function that automatically A) creates a new quiz (to contain the needed random questions) B) randomly adds N questions from each of your example existing quizzes C) now display that quiz. D) deal with cleanup so that you don't end up with thousands of quizzes. So on this new quiz creation, create a cron job that automatically deletes this temporary quiz after X time has passed (an hour for example to give the user plenty of time to complete), and/or automatically deletes the quiz on quiz completion. So is it possible? Totally - but you'd need to add custom code to your site to allow for the above.
This is fantastic and very impressive thanks Dillon. I have one question. I read somewhere that questions can be imported into the plugin, is this right? This would be a lot easier for many people, including myself. Thanks Dillon.
HD Quiz has a CSV import tool that you can use to bulk import questions. It's under HD Quiz -> Tools. I should probably have added this to the video :)
I've enabled the wp pagination feature to reload the page after every 1 question but when it reloads, it automatically reloads the same questions again and again and does not go to the next question.
RU-vid is not the best place to offer support. Please contact me from the support page at harmonicdesign.ca/hd-quiz and provide a link so I can take a look. EDIT: And in case you don't or are unable to contact me on the support forum, please do the basic WordPress debug steps to make sure the issue isn't caused by your theme or another plugin: harmonicdesign.ca/generic-wordpress-debug-steps/ The two most likely reasons for this issue are either A) A script on your site is breaking JavaScript, or B) Either your theme or another plugin is overriding default WordPress pagination.
Hi sir firstly thank you very much for HD Quiz, I have a question on it please do something for math quiz means how to write equations in quiz please answer me thank you
HI Lalitkumar, HD Quiz cannot use LaTex formatting for things like math equations, so I instead recommend adding your math question inside an image and setting that image as the question featured image. This is how a lot of other users are getting around this problem
There is a free addon that saves results though. And then there is a paid Pro version of that addon that saves each individual answers as well as allowing you to add a custom form to the start or end of the quizzes
@@HarmonicDesign Yes, but addons save only fact of quiz. No save answers. It only for pro version. Without pro it looks like a joke. No more. Good job.
Hi Biraj, HD Quiz is fully compatible with basic HTML formatting tags. These include strong, em, sup, and sub, and a few others. In case you have never use basic HTML tags before, here is an example of using a subscript. developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/sub (you can ignore the <p> tags in that mozilla example)
