I have been using headtracker for my planes and wings for years. Unfortunately, they are driven by servos and can show up in the video. This looks smooth and clean. I am planning on purchasing walksnail module for I can use my skyzone 03O googles. Unfortunately, I will have to pass, the price is way to expensive.
It is an affordable choice for those looking to get started with a digital FPV system. Additionally, it comes with head tracking function, making it very appealing to FPV pilots, RC plane enthusiasts, and RC car players alike.
@@CADDXFPV lol but I'm always looking at the ground when I fly lol :) It's a cool idea, maybe for cars....throw the 3 axis gimbal in for free and I'll buy it :) Otherwise I'm sticking with caddx vista lol
No, not really. It will never get cheaper. Digital is not like analog where progression in technology has stopped, and so every VTX or receiver uses the same analog chip that is mass-produced digital. Is just not on that level. It's constantly progressing and therefore changing and so no pricing will never be cheap ever.
Nobody thought than using head trackng with directional antenna patches would lead to " and now I turn my head to the left... So does the camera.... Oh wait why did I loose my video feedback?"😂
I want to like caddx, but their way of announcing newer/improved versions of certain products literally weeks after the previous version was just released makes me hesitant to buy their products. In a month, they’ll release v2 of the gimbal with minor upgrade and make you feel like you wasted money on obsolete hardware.
@@SpacemanFPV1I agree but that should be done within their R&D and release final version. Releasing every iteration passes the burden of r&d cost to the customers essentially.
@@WATCHMAKUH yes and no if they did as much R&D they would be late and it cost a bit more letting the customers gives them a bit more cost-effective and faster pay schedule now both have the downsides and pick your poison
@@CADDXFPV I can't wait for my loved goggles x new board to come out. I just got the gm3 gimbal and Moonlight kit. Can you reveal the secret when it will be released? 🙂
Dam I just bought a pair of analog boxies. The big issue is, diopter lenses. Old people usually have farsightedness and without that magnification it as clear as custard. The goggles I purchased have room for glasses and that's the best I could get. Reading glasses from China are so cheap and yet nobody in the goggles manufacturers industry seams to be able to communicate with them. 😮
Why are most of the comments so negative??? It is a very good option for people who want to get into FPV without spending over 1000€/$. It main focus is on the price. So it is no wonder, that this isn't better then the Goggles X or DJI Goggles, that cost double the amount of money
OK, it has the advantage that the antennas are integrated, meaning it is very compact in a backpack. But I don't know if I like it because good reception is more important to me. What happened to the good old antennas that you could pull out like in old cars or old remote controls?
OLED? I think the goal is to get into digital as cheaply as possible. Not everyone has the money... And that's exactly why I have huge respect for Caddx for bringing out this product, even though I find two things strange. 1) Patch antennas instead of a circular or linear antenna 30 cm from the head. 2) Why are there lenses even though it's a mirror system? The VR03 doesn't need lenses. After all, lenses have slight optical losses... I do not have experience but i thnink lenses maybe enlarge the image (FOV) even more or can shield the upper image better ?
@@Sugalime3D_FPV Yeah but not all OLED is equal. Plenty of older panels now in budget range. But sure though for max cheapness go LCD. I first started out with an EV800D in 2017.
Looking forward to flying with it! Having lots of trouble updating the VRX- the Moonlight went easier. Any suggestions? It would be nice if VRX could access menus without powering on the Moonlight- it gets super hot very fast.
I think patch antennas are not good. And I think there is at least one flat patch antenna installed? I find circular or linear ones more reliable. Because the patch antenna can cause you to fly further away. But if you move your head, the picture can disappear. That doesn't happen with linear and circular as much...
So I would buy the goggles s to switch from analog to digital cheaply. Quite simply also because I think I like boxed goggles better. But the patch antennas are a no-go ! But maybe we can modifi it. So take the goggles apart. Drill 2 holes in the front or top. Replace the patch antennas with antenna connectors. And then attach linear or circular antennas. As I said, patch has the advantage for long range with the disadvantage that you have to aim at the drone. As far as I know, patch antennas are worse than linear or circular ones if the drone is not in the field of view, which is how I fly most of the time. That's why I've never bought a patch antenna...
