I started my first clothing at around 15 years old. Growing up as a first generation immigrant in NY the hustle feels as natural as breathing.
Now, Im on a mission to share all my learnings and experiences with you. Join me as I share my story. I hope it can inspire you to also chase your dreams.
I saw someone unboxing her new rimowa luggage the edges have dents and you can really tell that they were just hammered it back to glory, my theory is that they recycling all the returned luggage and sell it again😅
The new Rimowa suitcases don’t live up to the hype anymore. My Rimowa topas is now 25 years old and still on it’s original locks despite very heavy use. Just as an example the lock and the latch mechanism of the new Rimowa suitcases are made out of plastic, whereas the old ones were made from metal. Hence this is why those locks break on newer models. In my opinion a lock of a 2k suitcase shouldn’t break after 2 years in the first place..
Nice! I’m looking to get the XL in black. Using a Pelican 1615 Air right now and it’s been excellent but I’m willing to upgrade my luggage game a bit. Price isn’t an issue like you said lol
@@AlanKingny 1,000,000% durable haha I fell in love with them in the military and now in the civilian world. I’ll join the Rimowa family soon though. Thanks for the video!
Hey Alan, I enjoyed your video. I remember seeing a video of some brand owner, forgot his name, but his brand was called "Angelic Motion" or something, some random y2k aesthetic brand. It's a lot easier said than done, because designing clothes requires a certain eye for it. I tried creating my own brand, I don't have the eye for it. To a certain extend it's completely reliant on tiktok / instagram organic, so storyboarding/videography skills are key skills but they can be acquired quickly. Make 100 tiktok shorts and you'll be a master of it... but the designs themselves? That is what is TRULY at the heart of everything.
@@zan0997 well said, paid spend / wholesale is a Big factor too but I see design and product market fit becoming more important now. Wholesale and paid spend is harder to break now adays without that. Welcome to the channel!
@@AlanKingny Hi, that 3 minute response time - wow! Mans fast with it. Fashion brands are a LOT harder to do well than it seems on the surface! Paid ads oftentimes don't seem worth it to new brands just stepping foot into the industry. I used to be in a discord with a couple of clothing brand entrepreneurs, and they were lucky to break even with paid advertising. Most of their conversions were from tiktok organic, and they had to build hype around it for weeks before the drop date, all the while praying the algorithm would pick them up. Not to mention, they were churning through tiktok accounts like butter since we had a theory about being shadowbanned if you can't like 1k views after 5 videos. And the Manus? It was something like $240usd for a single hoodie and trackpant sample, and the work required to make the "design pack" was super tedious too. (forgot the name for the clothing blueprint file with all the measurements and colors lol) For these 15 year old high schoolers, most of them couldn't bear burning through money like this and eventually gave up. Success stories like yours are what inspires entrepreneurship amongst youth!
@@zan0997 🙏 def not the easiest industry to make it in. This video would’ve been 50 min long but I cut it short. Your support being on here pushes me to grind out more content on YT
Im 17 yo on my last highschool year And been really dreaming about starting my brand And I finally did I know I won't sell fast Or blast overnight But you know what I will try to put your shoes on bro you made me tear up May god bless you man
Thanks for sharing your experience! Am glad RU-vid recommended this, even though am not even in the fashion business. But what you shared applies to all types of business. Thanks!
Hey I watched your recent video and i really liked the value that you provided in it .However,I noticed my video editing would greatly benefit your content, It will retain the audience it would help get your point across better , and it will make you look like a professional and stand out against your competition
I reached out to Rimowa for a replacement wheel that was broken and they want to charge $50 even though I have never made a claim. They charge a lot for these suitcases and I have 2 of them. You would think they could spring for a wheel.
