Narrator is mispronouncing LUM’-BAR every time she says it throughout the video. Pronouncing LUM’-BAR incorrectly as LUM-BUR’, accent on the last syllable, changes the meaning to wood cut from a tree. LUM’- BAR is the physiologic, medical, anatomy pronunciation, designating the mid-spine area between the thoracic spine and the sacral/ pelvic spine. I feel your comments regarding the pillow tilt is inaccurate. You do not show it while using a pillow. Who is going to lay in that position without a pillow? Using a pillow with the tilt seems that it would push your neck way too much forward causing strain. Do us all a favor and show the tilt WITH a pillow.
So i guess i should've realized the mattress doesn't conform to the tilt BUT does it raise the head a few extra degrees? That's what i thought I'd see in this video.
Yes, it definitely does raise the head. Actually, the correct term I think is the pillow tilt straightens the upper body even further. I will try to post a new video with this soon!
We ordered a DM9000S split king in August 2023. The bed is different than the one shown in the video and on Amazon. It did not come with speakers or side usb ports which were advertised and shown on their web site. Usb ports are now under the bed. Functionality looks the same even though ours is a split king. The remote is totally different. We are in the process of trying to rectifying the problem with DynastyMatress as we received something different than was advertised. We will make every effort to update so the public can be informed.
We received a call today from Dynasty and they informed us that their production line base has changed and the web site had not updated that change. We received the new production base which is missing some of the previous features. They offered a partial refund, which we accepted. Seems like their Support is pretty good.
@@rhutch5362 Thanks for the clarification. I actually thought DynastyMattress shipped a different model because they have multiple adjustable bed bases. Glad to hear that the matter has been resolved.
Excellent observation there. At the time of shooting this video, the mattress was brand new. In other words, it was not 'broken in'. As a result, it was not very flexible and wouldn't flex at the pillow tilt 'joint'. If you think about it, it's actually common sense. A 12" mattress will not flex at the pillow tilt 'joint' seamlessly following the contour of the base unless there is a considerable amount of weight pushing back on it. A 4" memory foam mattress? Yes, that would flex and follow the curves of the base much better than a 12" hybrid spring mattress for example. Nevertheless, with pillow tilting, the back gets further straightened with great support on the head and neck. However, the mattress forms a straight line from the hip to the head rather than flexing at the pillow tilt joint. I hope you get what I'm trying to explain here! You need to keep the mattress on for pillow tilt as we would like to see if and how it can help head positioning for watching TV or Reading. Finally, please take this in the spirit of its intent and not as mean criticism. The word is button, not "bu-on." The TT's need to be pronounced in the word button. Very informative video.

This is dumb I came to see what it would look like with a mattress for pillow tilt and they take off the mattress, I can see what a pillow tilt looks like on all the pictures but no one ever shows what it looks like with a mattress.. smh
Adjust down to reach the nightstand if necessary. Just keep the remotes on the bed. $400-500 extra for wall hugger to get six inches closer does not seem worth it.
Can bins be stored under these types of beds? Obviously, the bins need to be the right height. My concern is the legs that are not out at the furthest corners.
Definitely yes, bins up to 9-10" in height can be stored. They can be as deep as the width of the base (e.g. 60 inches for a queen bed) but the width should be no more than 2 feet because that's the length between two legs. I think that's plenty of space!!
I wanted to watch this but her continuous ‘up-speak’ drove me nuts. Also, words with two t’s require pronouncing BOTH t’s. It’s not ‘but-un’, it’s BUT-TON! Oy.
This part is rather sketchy - at 2:30, look at the very head of the mattress. See how it sticks out over the frame?, so visualize the 'head tilt' feature at this point - it would have virtually no tilting effect to the mattress. So the girl states she will have the mattress removed to demonstrate the head tilt feature. That is very sleazy, because of course the frame will show the head tilting!
