This machine was used for 98 years in Appleton Wisconsin USA to make hair pins that were sold around the world. Several sizes and colors. During WWII the hair pins had to take a back seat when the company was contracted to make pins for hand grenades. This was a family owned business and it was built and maintained by a small group of people throughout the years. The pins were sold on cards (filled by hand), and in containers by weight. The paint needed to be water based and dryed with an attached hair dryer. The speed of the machine was timed to allow the drying to take place while still on the machine. I was just the videographer and a guy who asked many questions the last day the machine was run before dismantling. I believe it was sold. This video was made to document this historic machine by the Appleton Historical Society. Thanks about all I know. For more information, you could contact Gwen or Tom at the Appleton Historical Society.
what a great song, so beautifully brought, lots of wonderful ukes (i just got a bari version of the one with the fancy ovation style sound hole thingy!) and oh - the ending - what a lovely touch
Thank you for watching. Glad you liked it. We all miss Randy a lot. And yes, it’s more of an obsession. It’s the first time I put them all together at the same time.
What a lovely song! Well sung, well, played--you put a big smile on my face on a sad day (as I can't go visit my elderly parents right now). Thank you.
wow! this is so well done - just fab vocal and despite the one take low tech recording a totally polished performance. love the sentiments! actually felt this one emotionally too. bravo! BRAVO! enjoyed this big time!
Great strumming technique in the second part. Here's hoping the losing party will accept the results without seeking armed conflict to vent their frustrations.
Interesting mixture of songs! Never been a big fan of the second one, but having researched it, I get the impression it was written from a place of good intentions! Looks like you've got ukes in every nook and cranny :)
The weather has been a bit blusterous, and we're going back into lockdown. However, exercise outside is encouraged, so maybe I'll go on longer walks for more introspection!
Sounds fantastic and I love the positive message. Good Lord is that a Petros uke! It has the perfect combination of warmth, sweetness and punchiness. Nice transition to the outdoors on the video. This really is a fine song and performance sir. Look forward to hearing more original work from you ~
Catchy tune and a super memorable chorus and what a dynamic performance! This fits the bill because it is obviously designed not to just pass on the epiphany the narrator has been through, but attempts to provoke the same epiphany in others. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
