All of you wish he was on your team. Some of will will lie about it and the rest swear to it but you know it's true.. He plays every game like it's personal and it is. He's a smaller player and most of these penalties came as retaliation from other teams trying to bully him or one of his teammates. There's no crying in hockey!
What goes around comes around. How many times has Marchand done some dirty shit. He's a great player but he's the. Modern day Bobby Clarke/claude Lemieux. Skilled but very dirty. He finally got a taste of his own medicine
It won't stop with this punk, until he's literally laid out, and stretchered off the ice. I can't believe that no one in the entire league, after he cheap shots someone doesn't go after him immediately. As long as the players don't go after him, this will never change.
What he did to boro is one of the dirtiest and most dangerous things you’re gonna see. Coulda’ broke his neck. It’s a joke that he only got 3 games even though he is a repeat offender just because boro got back up. But bruin fans will still somehow claim that he gets picked on and the short end of the stick with suspension length. It’s beyond idiotic.
I mean you wish he played for your team so that's where the extreme emotions come from.. like fuck Marchand? Eeekk yes for a guy who's probably the shortest player currently, he gets shit done! You hafta really fight when everyone's got 40lbs on you and trying to stand out as a creative capable player. That's exactly what makes him honestly great. How he's matured and feeling less like shoulder is chipped, also showing maturity and leadership by not throwing down as easily now. Great player. Great example of the games amazingness so idk just stop. It's hockey and everyone wants to turn it into figure skating but safer. I get not hurting star players and not taking that risk but at least a man will drop his gloves. And not just draw penalties or try even the ice men on
How is he still in the NHL in the 2023-24 season? Both the Bruins and the NHL enable him and allow him to continue with a slap on the wrist. As a Canadian, I’m embarrassed he’s a Canadian.

Marchand is an absolute sack of shit who does some the most deplorable things I’ve seen in any professional sport. I would be embarrassed to have this mf on my team. Get him out of the league for the love of god

This was 5yrs ago. Wonder how many more now. Even tho I believe he doesn’t commit as many offenses. Crazy how he still a top player playing even better. Last year Boston became the best team in the history of the NHL. This year they looking sweet too but this is going to be the Rangers year. We need to bring the cup back to NY. It’s been way too long.

Talented player, but a 100% pure rat. His latest rat move was a can-opener (levered stick-between-the-legs) on Leaf D-man Liljegren this season. Liljegren had body position on Marchand on a D-zone puck retrieval, & I suppose Marchand didn't like that, so he brought his stick out front of Liljegren, angled it back between Liljegren's legs. When the Leaf braked while approaching the puck & the boards, he levered Liljegren's trailing left leg about 2 feet off the ice. That caused his left skate to dig into the boards causing a high ankle sprain. No call by referee McCauly who was only 6 feet behind the play. I will admit that Marchand's body may have obscured McCauley's view of what he did, but why the NHL dept of player safety didn't at least fine the repeat offender Marchand is truly disappointing. He has done dangerous & dirty things just like that numerous times, with some of them resulting in injury to the other player. He has been suspended an total of 22 games & fined 974,000 dollars over his NHL career. Evidently, he got away scott free on this latest rat move. It was interesting reading a number of Bruin fan takes excusing his behaviour as a nothing-burger. If that same can-opener trip had happened to Boston player, they'd have been howling for a suspension. Maybe he has a bad case of 'little man' syndrome at 5' 9" & 176 lbs. He's right up there with Ken 'the rat' Linseman, Matt Cooke & a handful of other dangerous, greasy rats that have preceded him.
