Saw you guys in Orlando - randomly was in Subway when Eric was getting food and thought “yea this dude is clearly going to the same show I’m going to” just to discover he was in one of the bands at the show 😂
The video is fun and the song is even better! You guys instantly became one of my favorite bands after I heard Concrete Kitten in 2021. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys live sometime.
Love all the little easter eggs. You've got Eric and Sam's guitars, Werner's bass, the titular safehouse, the gorilla plushie, plague dr. mask, the family calendar, the banana poster. Truly a work of art.
CNB has been in my top spotify songs since 2019 and somehow the damn algorithm JUST showed me this gem of a video? I feel cheated. Safehouse has taken the crown but when I'm in need of an epic I still turn back to this song. Appreciate you boys making bangers and hope the day comes when you all get the recognition you deserve
The composition is absolutely out of this world. Tight, concise, intricate, heartfelt. I only wished there was some modulation in the song as its in the same key, progressions throughout the song. Definitely a constructive critique for future tracks. Learn to bring those melodies into other keys.
I genuinely don't understand bands like this. Like, was your aim to just make the most generic stuff you could? Arpeggiated guitar lines: check. Syncopated bass and drums: check. "Soaring" vocals: check. Super generic song structure: check And on top of that, just no character to the recorded sound. literally just the first option plug in. Jesus, this literally sounds like it was an AI generated song
This song means the world to me. I recently listened to it again, this time on an LSD trip where I achieved true ego death / ego dissolution. This comes after coming to terms that I am an adult who recently found out he has autism. The lyrics speak to me on a spiritual level, and really describe a lot of my experiences struggling with communication and feelings well. But it also ends with melodies and lyrics that suggest a rebirth and acceptance of sorts. At least, to me. I can’t tell you how important this song is to me as a person. It will be close to my heart forever. Thank you so much. And fwiw, I discovered this song and you guys when you toured with Wheel earlier this year in a small venue in northern Virginia. So glad I went.
I really how you all managed to incorporate sound palettes derivating from bands such The Reign Of Kindo and Thank You Scientist all the way up to the Dead Letter Circus/The Contortionist territory with that nice Skyharbor/Intervals flavours of prog metal. Really unique and awesome taste stuff
