Short Maths tutorials that align with the Australian Curriculum. Aimed at Grade 7-12. I’m a Queensland based teacher with experience teaching Grade 7 -12 Maths (Maths Methods and General Maths) as well as primary school. New videos added every week. Some fun science experiments also included.
Thank you so much for making these videos! However, I am unsure how you were able to find the period for question 16. Is there something I am missing? I know the period is described as 2pi/b however I don't understand how you get 3/2. I appreciate your help.
@@McRaeMaths I understand. I asking how it actually works though. Without the root it's just a giant number. Explain, please. I've always wondered. C^2 is gigantic.
The cos graph is flipped as the normal cos graph goes from the highest point whereas this one goes from the lowest point so u need the amplitude to be a negative
7:50 remember to explain that moving the 1/2 outside the integral is how you get this solution! otherwise you end up with double the value (and if you're like me a little confused lol)
1.96 is equal to x - mean / stdev (z score rule - not given in data booklet so you have to memorise it) i did 1.96 = 113.68 - 82 / x and then solved for x to get the standard deviation. works also if you use 50.32 instead of 113.68 but you get the same answer, just negative. also remember that its tech active so you can use your calculator for this. hope this helped
Would you be able to make a couple of videos on tech free and tech active complex unfamiliar questions for the binomial distributions, normal distributions and confidence intervals topics? This would be really helpful for my IA3 next week, thanks.
Great suggestion! I’ll see what I can find. In the mean time if you check out exam-insights you can filter the past paper questions to unit 4 and complex unfamiliar and you may see some that are what you are after (and if I’ve done a video of them they are linked on there)
2 c) provided b is not equal to zero, and 3 e) provided n is not equal to zero. Being unable to divide by zero really needs to be taught earlier in the syllabus
Thanks for taking the effort to upload solutions. On Question 5 your solutions are correct but the integral you have written is missing the 1/2 component from (cosx)/2.
