Some die sets have bullet seaters for both round nose and wadcutter. Just gotta check what set ya got. Thanks for the comment!

@@afabfirearms761 The lee die sets are 38 special, 9mm Luger. Then I have the RCBS three-die set of carbide sizing, expander, and bullet-seating dies, caliber-matched shell holder, for my .308win.

@@andrewmunchkin7212 I believe the.38 has a seater for wadcutters, not 100% though. Look into the die and you’ll see. The others are surely to have round nose seaters.

After reloading for several years I found out that bullet seating and simultaneously crimping is not a good idea. I would use a dedicated crimper especially in a progressive press.

So it appears that 40S&W uses the same die as 10mm, how is this possible?
@FrumpyLumps
@FrumpyLumps 4 года назад
They are the same .400 diameter bullet, it's the casing length and powder loads that are different. Caliber is imperial system of measurement and millimeter is metric system of measurement, same size projectile just depends on who invented the cartridge and marketed it heaviest to name it.
