Your recipe looks delicious. I was looking for the recipe that calls for cinnamon red hot candies. Also, a coffee filter could probably be used in lieu of the cheesecloth. And a twisty tie from the loaf of bread could tie the coffee filter with the cloves inside & even be bent to hang to the edge of the pot. The cinnamon sticks could be left to float as they are larger & can be taken out more easily with a pair of tongs once the wassail is ready.
