I’ve heard different performances of NESSUN DORMA (Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Aretha Franklin and a performance on RU-vid by a gentleman whose name I didn’t catch but whose voice was superb) but my favorite will always be Luciano. Ciao RIP
Did you see the film that Ron Howard made about Pavarotti? It made me realize how much I miss him singing and his larger than life personality. Such a zest for life.
What's kinda neat is that you sorta look the part of a young Luke Skywalker like before the events of A New Hope in some angles. I'd imagine if you were up for like a Mark Hamill version of Luke from the 70s, it'd be sorta bittersweet since Luke is an easy reminder for us to be hopeful for something bigger than ourselves. Nevertheless, I do like the way you look in that costume and do an Episode VI impersonation of Luke. 💙
You know, it's actually sad to know that Episode IX sorta gave us something else instead of giving what we Star Wars fans expect to see. Like, have you ever stop to wonder and what would most likely have happened if Snoke would have been revealed to be a clone of Darth Plagueis in Episode VIII and later to be the final boss alongside Palps's Clone instead of JUST showing Palps's Clone in IX? Part of that would have most likely been able to lift up some of our expectations since it sorta follows the Rule of Two movement. To quote Yoda: "Always two, there are. No more, no less. A master and and apprentice." In this case if Snoke- er, I mean, Plagueis and Palps's Clone were to be the two final bosses in Episode IX and Anakin being the one to stop them (even if beyond the grave), it would have given us a slightly better movement in the franchise since the story is solely about Anakin's life, death and redemption. Who knows what could have really happened? Maybe the novels, games or shows might answer our questions that were left unanswered at some point. 💙
Okay I don't know what it could be, but part of you saying that you hate spiders kinda make me think of how Ron Weasley feels when someone mentions spiders. I personally don't like them, but my arachnophobia isn't AS big as bees, wasps or hornets. Like, I have a HUGE phobia of those three insects despite them being their own little beings. Reason why was cuz I got stun by a bee once and it started my big phobia for bees, wasps and hornets. Either way, I do apologize if you have arachnophobia. 🙏🏻
@@richarde.skywalker1977 not a phobia, but big giant ones that are fast and jump at your face are something I'd rather avoid. Ever play Doom3? The spider things? HATE those.
Ah, I see. As for Doom 3, I can't say that I have played that game. I may have played the classic one at some point a little while ago, but no I haven't played the third one. Maybe I ought to, but I might not have time to do so because of other things I'm busy with.
Okay. So coming back to this vid, I was in deep thought about the whole premise for the balance of the Force and how part of it feels familiar in some way. 🤔 The part where you mentioned in 20:43 sorta reminisces to how Christ was able to accomplish some impossible cases by healing the people who were most likely deprived of happiness, restoring blind eyesight and seeing clearly. And knowing that Star Wars has some elements that are based on the Bible, most notably how Shmi (in this case, she would be the Virgin Mary) gave birth to her child, Anakin (who would be like the Christ in SW). And if you kinda think about it, Anakin may have a father in spirit even if not physically. Hypothetically speaking, Anakin's father is supposedly the Force itself since there's a comic book where Anakin has a vision in a cave on Mustafar while attempting to bleed a Kyber crystal. But in that comic book, we see that Sidious manages to create who will later be prophesied to bring balance to the Force, inside of Shmi's womb. So similarly enough, God is Our heavenly father and that would make the Force Anakin's heavenly father in some way or another (I might be wrong, but that's what I think). And Sidious (who would be the Satan of Star Wars) would later to manipulate all of those in the galaxy and find a solution to seduce Anakin to the Dark Side of the Force considering the fact that Sidious forced Anakin to overthrow the Jedi Order to a status where defeat was easily inevitable. So in this case, Anakin went from being Christ to Lucifer considering the fact that Lucifer attempted to overthrow God before he was banished from heaven and welcomed to a world where darkness lurks in the shadows. (Another thing that's worth noting: when the immolation scene happens in Episode III, the music that plays in the background was actually meant to partly represent the crucifixion and death of Christ since Anakin died the day he was dubbed as Darth Vader.) And in Episode VI, Anakin was able to be given a second chance of redemption and died a very noble hero in the end and manifested with his last look before death took him and oversaw Luke and the Rebels celebrating on Endor. Part of that also feels reminiscent to how Christ died for our sins and was resurrected three days later to have us teach His ways so that we can be connected with God, Christ and the Holy Spirit for a total of 40 days before He rose up to heaven and then the Holy Spirit (which could most likely be the Force Spirits of past Jedi) had the capability to easily bring us together and let our burdens go and be happy with Christ. I love how Star Wars has some aspects that are based on both the Bible, WW2 and samurai warriors and I still love the fact that you explained your honest opinion on the meaning for the Balance of the Force. 💙
"Kid... you take the good intentions while I take the reward." I think that's what Harrison says in that audition tape with Mark Hamill? I'm not sure, I could be wrong. But either way, good short and impersonation of Luke! 💙
Puccini's explosive aria has to be one of the best if not the best I can think of. Pavarotti was an incredible tenor, possibly the best interpreter of this music.
Okay, coming back to this video, I've found another one that might sound nice. 🙂 There's another version of the Force theme like this that plays in the Empire Strikes Back where Luke makes a promise to Yoda before departing to Bespin to possibly save Han and Leia. 💙
Great video. Shinobi 3 is my all-time favorite game soundtrack and I think it doesn't get enough attention for its complexity. Glad to see someone analyze it some.
