Have just recently started to listening to some Angus and Julia Stone songs and over the past year have really focused on learning fingerpicking. So really psyched to find this guitar tutorial....this is a win-win for me!! Haha! On my short list of songs to learn. Thanks so much for the tutorial and the tabs, much appreciated!!!
Bro, I know I am 10 years late to the show. But thanks so much for posting this. Best version out there by far. It’s the actual version he plays. You are a god. Thanks 🙏
You're found a good job of teaching, thank you. I think I'm a little closer to reading a staff for single notes. Looking forward to understanding it for chords, also. Just a thought, I understand vibrato and it's important, but vibrato while you're teaching is not necessary :-), it's actually confusing. But I DO appreciate your teaching!
Hey, Gareth, I know how pain staking it is to learn intricute stuff like this, let alone teach it to someone and edit a video and tab it. Great work. I've been looking for your stuff online. I feel like I owe you some business after watching this. If you're still active on social media, link me to whatever you're selling. I hope you're selling something. I will buy it. Great stuff man.
Hey Gareth, thank you for your time. I found this tutorial very helpful and well made. I was checking the original video and the chords are just perfect. I have two questions I would like to ask you: 1) How did you figure the chords out from the original song? I am a beginner, but I would like to understand the process that's necessary to find the chords. The best way would be a tutorial (or just a complete video) from the original artist, but they don't have that much time eheh. 2) The part I like the most of your tutorial is the chords explanation. However I found it difficult to orient myself through the different parts and lyrics. Before watching your video I saw the basic chords on Ultimate Guitar and learned the entire song without your (I mean, the original) variations (especially in the intro and in the bridge). Did you think about showing lyrics and all the song sections in the same way you show the chords? I think that this would help a lot the people to understand in which part of the song they are and to follow the lyrics along the chords. I also understand that this would require maybe the double of the time you spent for editing and thinking how to do this video, but I was considering it and maybe it can be an idea. What do you think about it? Thank you again and I hope to learn a new song through your lessons! Have a nice day! Marco
Does it matter which fingers you use to play the natural notes? Using finger 1 mostly or what is comfortable , so 1, 2 or 3 to play. When I am not looking I don't know if my finger is on 5 or 7 fret etc.
Awesome work, Mate! I always thought that the "main riff" would sound awesome on an electric guitar. But this is great as well. Thank you for the upload, greetings from Islam free Hungary! 🙂
Dude start off playing the song so we can see the whole thing a bit then do the lesson. Edit my go I just watched the ruthenium part and you didn’t even play it!!!
