Saw it at the cinema in '74. Not a classic... but I enjoyed it. To be fair, Bond gently but firmly pushed the lad into the water because he would probably have been in more danger staying in the boat and he wanted to get moving (and get the kid out of it) as quickly as possible. He probably found the kid later and gave him the money he'd promised him... plus a bit more.

Yes, the Beaver cast made lots of appearances on many other shows during the 1983-189 run of Still/New Leave it to Beaver. I have almost all those appearances here on my channel -- on Family Feud, on Star Games, on MTV as veejays, on Joan Rivers talk show, and many others. I also the CBS 1983 TV reunion movie Still the Beaver here, along with the 26 episodes of The Disney Channel's 1984-85 TV series Still the Beaver and all 75 episodes of TBS Superstation New Leave it to Beaver here, all exactly as originally broadcast, unedited and with no commercials.

No, sorry, I was not an editor on original Batman TV series 58 years ago - just meant that I have edited these scenes from the series to present them here this way in shortened highlights form. But you're right that it must have been a big job for entire crew during first two seasons of this show to produce two complete episodes every week

Except to provide enjoyment for the hundreds of thousands who enjoyed them in the 1980s ad the tens of thousands who still enjoy them and the new fans who are discovering them and enjoying them now on RU-vid. Not to mention all the cast and crew and staff who enjoyed their time and employment making the series, and the careers it gave to actors like Tony Dow who got experience directing episodes. Fine for you to feel these were awful - but you're going beyond that to suggest they never should have been made.

@@kenblair6622 As I say, no one is trying to get you to change your opinion of the show. I didn't love all of this series but it had some very nice and funny and nostalgic moments, and I loved the grown-up Eddie Haskell and his oldest son Freddie. BTW, there were iterations of Andy Griffith Show -- Mayberyy RFD -- and an Andy Griffith TV reunion movie, both of which I thought were terrible.

@@SharkWhosFondOfBond Good for you - I actually think you can find a loyal and devoted fan base for just about anything on FB and the Internet, so I'm not surprised there are communities of fans for TMWTGG. Two Bond movies that I really like (not in my top 5) that get grief from many Bond fans are Diamonds Are Forever and Die Another Day - neither a serious Bond movie but both great fun to me -- the difference with them compared to TMWTGG is that both DAF and DAD were enormously popular and successful on their initial release in theaters, and both remain very popular with general movie fans, if not hardcore Bond fans. @shettrick
@shettrick 15 дней назад
Hmmm, I don't love or care to defend Richard Dawson but I don't understand what you are saying since he was the very first host who launched the show and hosted for a decade as it quickly became enormously popular in daytime and prime with celebrities anxious to be on it, and as it was one of the longest-running new game shows of its time

@shettrick HE CONSTANTLY TRIED TO BE CUTE INSTEAD OF ONLY HOSTING THE SHOW!!!! CONSEQUENTLY I THINK THAT ALLEN LUDEN WAS THE BEST GAME SHOW HOST EVER!!!! ALL THAT HE DID WAS HOST THE SHOW!!! HE NEVER TRIED TO BE CUTE AT ALL LIKE RICHARD DAWSON AND BOB BARKER DID!!! @shettrick
@shettrick 15 дней назад
@@jamessimmons7480 Well, if you didn't like his hosting style, that's fine since that's your opinion. But it's not accurate or fair to say Dawson ruined the show he started and made so enormously popular. The truth is the truth! Your opinion is your opinion. Same with Bob Barker - again, fine for you to not like his personality or style, but it's what made The Price is Right even way more popular when he resurrected it than it was with original host Bill Cullen, and for decades longer. Truth is truth and opinion is opinion. Allen Luden was great on Password but since he never tried hosting Family Feud or Price is Right, we'll never know if he would have made them as popular as Dawson or Barker.
