I own your steel plates, I'm coming up on the expiration and plan to test it a few years after the date. I have always been curious why there is an expiration date, but nevertheless, I plan on purchasing new plates soon.
I bought this. It was a complete PITA to get the armor pieces in. I am glad I got a large. I am not a heavy man by any stretch of the imagination. It hugs close to the body.
I ordered the spartan 10x12 plates without researching first. I'm 6'2 256 pounds. I get it in the mail soon. Hope it fits well. Probably should have purchased the 11x14 plates.
Hi @waywardson911 inside the compartment of the side plates is a velcro extender that you can pull out to extend the side plates to fit your 6" X 8" Side plates. If you need any help feel free to call us at 520-396-3335
@Frank-it9kl no issues with the 9mm fmj. Back Face Deformation averages around 40mm. We have a new ballistic test range coming online this summer and will add the hollow point to the testing list. Thanks for your interest.
Im about to buy the Ghost Concealment Shirt with Flex Fused Core Level IIIA. I was just wondering if i can...or should slide trauma pads behind the armor? Like does it even help with soft flexible armor? I have them for my steel armor.
Looks like a good idea but I need to see it on a female to see how that works and not someone flat chest either. I need to see if I would be protected.
Nothing wrong by being overtly prepared. I feel the same way what it comes to keeping things locked up . Living in the inner city people break in too cars for an iPhone charger.

I would buy a vault for the tundra but I think you’re better off hiding your pistol somewhere. Anybody with a small prybar would be in there in 20 seconds.
@jessecopeland9728 you must have our AR550 Full Coat (Encapsaloc) Plates. They are NIJ Certified so even though they are Level III+ rated the NIJ does not have that designation under the 01.01.06 Standards. The New Standards have changed this and in the future those plates will be listed RF2. Hope this clears things up.
Normally there are enormous deformations of the ballistic protection and to check this standard it is necessary to use clay so that the imprint remains definitively marked in the material in order to measure and check that it complies with the deformation standard. I also point out that ballistic protection without a trauma plate only adds to the severity of impact injuries that the mannequin is not at all capable of reproducing.
Hi @jvan6582 to be honest might be a little too small and only holds 10 X 12 plates. We're working on a larger size that will hopefully be ready by summer. Thanks for the interest.
