Emily's day was always great to me. The actor, Eric Steinberg, deserves so much more recognition. He's intense and strong and protective in his demeanor and that needs to be used more.
Honestly Emily's dad is a lot like how I feel like I would react if I was a father. Call me homophobic or whatever u want but I'm not going to sit here and lie that I would be perfectly at ease with my child being gay. But unlike Pam, I understand that its not some illness that can be cured its just simply the way people feel which can't be changed. I'd be gutted for sure, like Em's dad is, but I guess I would just gradually come to terms with it like he does
I get that you are religious but why you gotta say that stuff instead of just going about your day and letting us live in peace? I am sure I am a snowflake to you but I am taking offense because she represents people out there who really do love girls. You aren't helping those people. you are making them feel worse. guess what? I like girls and boys. Nothing can change that.
looking back at this show, the writers handled emily’s sexuality pretty well. from what i can remember (i haven’t watched the whole show in a while) the writers never made her character revolve around her sexuality. they just had her coming out scene, and couple other scenes, and then just carried on with the plot. i really appreciate that because while her being gay is her identity and who she is, the writers didn’t make it her only character trait. (i hope you guys see what i’m saying here)
Honestly the dad is a truly amazing man like who in the world would be so understanding! He deserves so much better. He's my fav dad in the whole series ♥
This vid should have ended w/ OTALIA looking beautiful & happy, not w/Gina & Ani looking all disheveled, empty, & miserable. If Otalia ended like that last image, then it's deteriorated from the HAPPY, FULL OF LIFE, SO IN LOVE couple that was canon on Guiding Light. Gina & Ani are as different to Otalia as a foggy night is to a sunny day. The only constant is the amount of alcohol CC's characters consume. That sucked for us, but it's the truth. I wish Otalia's story could have continued w/ Open Book Productions owning the characters!
