I have had a NTM K-5 gutter machine since 1994 that I have kept out of the weather since it was new. It is scratched up a bit, but not rusty. I now wonder where mine fits in the line that first year? The serial # is: GM52270995H
We've never delved into that specific market. It's a very different design than a seamless gutter machine too. Could happen in the future so check our website regularly for updates.
There are several factors involved with that, and a $200,000 machine would be feature a bevy of optional features and multiple panel profiles. That said, we've heard of clients paying for their machines in one large commercial project before if there's enough square footage involved. Market conditions can dictate pricing as well but if you have steady metal roofing work to do a machine can pay for itself in just a few months, and the resale value will remain strong as long as the machine is properly maintained. The vast majority of our metal panel profiles are hidden fastener standing seam systems, so the screws aren't exposed to the elements. High quality painted steel won't rust if it's properly handled and installed, and aluminum doesn't rust by nature. A properly installed standing seam metal roof can easily last 40-50 years or more 🙂
@@NewTechMachinery I just Started Looking into building a barndominium as my next home / workshop in mid MO. I like standing seem but have been told the cost is high, and it's difficult to get a good square to keep from going off square as you add panels all down the line ... Also have not heard of aluminum panels .. they have gid to be expensive ? And can they be painted ? We the paint it last long? We have nothing but talk trees all around and I worry small branches would hit the roof. And scratch it up and rust the steel panels. We get some ice here and in my storgage, steel paneled roof the screws sheered of due to ice .. and I got water leakage .. so that's my worry maintenance..
@@Gunter_Custom Yes, standing seam roofing will have a higher initial installation cost, but you'll realize the savings over the life of the roof with minimal maintenance. Aluminum is very popular for metal roofing in coastal areas, and it is readily available from most reputable coil suppliers. Paints today can be very durable and withstand some scuffing without further damage to the panel or exposing the bare metal. Major suppliers of painted metal coil can offer warranties sometimes as long as 40 years on the paint finish so check to see what may be available to you. Suppliers such as Sheffield Metals can be an invaluable resource for those getting into the metal roofing/siding business, providing warranties and installation assistance if you choose to partner with them. As a 38 year old roofer with my first year under my belt as an owner of my own steel roofing company I applaud you for passing down the knowledge of the trade to the youth!! When i started i was (and still am) a sponge to the old tymers and I credit them for where i am know and where i will be at their age!!
Those are on exposed fastener metal roofs such as AG panels, R panels, or 5V Crimp panel styles. Many of our panel profiles have UL 580/Class 90 wind uplift testing compliance with them, but in order to offer UL certification each machine must be registered with UL by the end user to offer UL certified panels.
