Home Studio based in Canada, I show some of the recording gear and software to make music at home. You will find videos here reviewing and learning how to record music and some of the techniques I use to get my ideas down quickly. I hope these videos help you in any way to keep making music!
So much talk about Latency ........ How about will this thing Give a good solid recording of the electric guitar ?? Ive had 3 Android phones, None of them can give a mediocre guitar recording, they all sound like its under water .
i want to be able to have two guitars playing live and have both players have their own headphones, can this unit do this, itlooks as such, i got the focusrite scarlette 2i2 thinking it would do this, because its in the god damn namn......but not quite.
Yes, you can by using the Minifuse Control Center. For example: 1. Add Analog Input 1 to Channel pair 1 & 2. This will be routed to the first headphone and also on output ports 1 & 2 on the back. 2. Add Analog Input 2 to Channel pair 3 & 4. This will be routed to the second headphone and also on output ports 3 & 4 on the back. You can also more the mixer setup. For example add inputs 3 and 4 to both channel pairs, or do other fancy routing such as adding USB channels 1&2, 3&4 or 5&6. There are some limitations to this device. For example, only inputs 1 & 2 can be controlled using the knobs. You have to use the control center to change levels of other inputs.
How´s The Latency on the Ipad? I´m interested to get a Ipad and already think to connect a E-Drum Set via USB to a DAW Like Logic for IPAD. OR i connect the EDrum Set to my PC DAW. The Donner ED200 i can get super cheap at my Place :)
Great, informative video !! Was wondering how to get myself away from my Katana 100mk2 and to utilize more plugins and multi effects units. Tbanks for the information im definitely subscribed !!
i bought it, used the code here. only issue i have is the noise is unbearable. i have a samsung galaxy xcover pro that im using it on, i do have a galaxy s21 ultra aswell, but those dont have a headphones jack, so you have to use usb on that one. its a great app, if you can get the white noise gone. future advice also, dont waste your money on the joyo momix interface, it has no way to shut direct monitoring off, so you hear both the dry and wet sound, and you cant shut the dry off. it does work well as a interface for a loaptop with a daw and vsts.
Thank God i found this! Which metronome would you recommend for a guitarist? I am willing to pay 100 dollars if its really, really good, but more than that i don't think so.
Thanks for the info, I agree ALWAYS use a genuine Apple dongle. If you have any Apple devices produced after 2017, or that are running iOS 11 or later, The iRigs WILL NOT function with any aftermarket dongles,..
I've found that EZ bass doesn't keep up with a lot of my notes from the guitar. As a result I just plug a bass in and record it manually. Has anyone else had this problem?
Really interested in this one, looking at the spec sheet for the HP out (<1Ohm impedance, decent power and -94dB THD) it appeara to be stellar, just wanted to ask what you think of the sound from HPs. Much appreciated!
Great video for myself as a beginner trying new things but, do you have a video for same on Iphone? let me know as me and my brother are a couple of states away an would like to jam for a practice and is this possible, thx for all the info and yes! I have liked and subscribed...
Very in trouble between this, yamaha thr or boss katana ( little speaker of the head version), combo is too much for my bedroom. My neightbours are all old and retired, I need to play very quietly 😂
“ not mobile”, “ you have to plug it in” what ? Waaaaa. It’s mobile and do you not have outlets in your house ? The audience is not going to happy seeing you play thru a Spark ? WTH. Only 1 out of 200, is geeky enough to care. Ridiculous, not realistic at all.
This is a non related request. I am a windows 11 + cakewalk user. I build my performance tracks with midi files and then convert to audio stems. I am thinking about moving to the mac os and I know the headache that my lie before me in converting window cakewalk files to a mac and using studio one. I am looking for advice on the process to get this done.
Hi. thank you for the video. I have one question: have you tried to plug electric guitar or bass to 3 or 4 inputs on the back? Can these inputs be use to record guitar or bass and (I guess using the trim knob in control centre) achieve some usable input gain level for these passive instruments? This is very important info to me. Thanks in advance. Btw: on other videos about this unit I have seen that switching 48v in the control centre result in changing the light on the interface so it was synced perfectly.
You could def record guitars with inputs 3 or 4, though the levels will be really low. You can increase the level in the control center but I'm not satisfied with the audio level. If I'm plugging in through the back, I just use a gain pedal going in or you can increase the gain afterward in your DAW
@@justingomez8315 Yeah, I learned that too. Any pedal with true bypass will help to bring it up to the line level and also change the buffers so it match. Also going from any line out from the guitar amp will do the job :)
I haven’t finished the video but I have been having a hard time hearing myself while tracking. I can hear the other tracks but not my own, until playback. Then it shows up. Help?
