Kinda wonder why it's named after Mr Welge. We the taxpayer are paying for it. Yes I knew Mr Welge and he was a prominent businessman, and over all good guy but unless his compay is footing the bill, his name shouldn't be on it! Yes his trucks will be the major traffic using said bridge, but their MFT and usage taxes will cover their share, but the taxpayers are the ones footing the construction bill.
MegaSites are destruction at its finest . Great construction crew but MegaSites are not needed all over NC .. people lost their homes because of that! Sorry, MegaSites are not helpful to local people or water basins. !
