Shame on you, Rapzilla, for choosing to exploit an artist and fellow believer for the sake of social media gain. To everyone else with a complaint saying she's "tripping" - she's not. You just have low standards for lyricism and stay way tuned in to CHH than her because she's out here working hard as a mom, wife, minister, and entrepreneur winning souls for the kingdom. I'm not impressed by anyone's list that they had time to write out and be thorough with - I'd be more impressed if you had the work/mental load she has, incredible skill she has, AND answered on the spot during an interview.
Maybe she didnt understand the question.😂 or she said that on purpose for a purpose.aha is nice hulvy cold he is a complete artist. But far as the pen with bars currently. Not in order. J monty, bizzle chaz chezzon, todd mccray, kb ,seven
Half of the Artists y'all are mentioning aren't really active right now. They're getting older. I think she is talking consistently active rappers. Everyone has their active seasons. Taelor Gray is No. 1 on my list He's been consistently active over the last decade. I would Say Tragic Hero as well but he hasn't been too active in the last two years either.
She will quote J. Cole and Kendrick but not know top 5 in our genre? When will we as artists actually support the platform that we participate in? Now I know CHH can be ugly because we are fallen creatures in need of Jesus but as long as Christ is glorified we should listen. Especially we should listen if we listen to secular music. Top 5 (Major & Indie) God over money camp J. Monty Propaganda Jackie Hill The Flatline Movement
PRAISE GOD for only the Lord. Keep going Son of the one true GOD. This is the very prophetic revelations art of the living Word. Yes & Amen. Thank you Holy Spirit for anointing this here vessel and servant of Jesus Christ.
I believe that because she has been away from music for a while, she hasn't listened to a lot of music. She didnt even mention Lecrae or Wande and they are in the Reach camp. I digress because JHP is one of my faves but she didn't mention any of the ladies either.
She was on Humble beast.. They had spitters there with Odd Thomas, Braile, and Eshon at the time.. Last Album had Ambassador on it.. Come on now Jackie😅! Somebody From GOM/Old GOM should've at least been on the list. I think she just has favorites..
I also agree with this list and can also add to it. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She has enough on her plate as a biblical teacher, podcaster, a recording artist, having a family, and making disciples. She's putting forth so much content that she probably doesn't have her ear towards a lot of artist. The pool of Christian hip-hop artists, in this nation alone, let alone internationally, is significantly (vehemently) greater than it was 25 years ago. It's cool.
While she very much has a point (unfortunately), it saddens my heart that she didnt mention KB or J. Monty. Or worse, that she wouldn't consider them lyricists. Still, she's my favorite one. Easily number one in my top five all time favorites.
