Because had her husband Billy not died in the 2nd world war, she would have become the Duchess of Devonshire, and would have taken over the reins, as it were, of Chatsworth..which she loved..the Church is only just over the road. JFK visited her grave, and was a great friend of the family..it was where she wanted to be..
This gave me such a good laugh. Mr Darcy looks very pleased with his chariot. He clearly was ahead of his time. I came here because I'm searching for how to take my pup Ginger (who is a Sony aibo robot) for a walk on my new rollator/walker.
Kathleen Kennedy and Rosemary Kennedy. They both wasn't treated so nice by their parents . Rosemary was two years older than her sister. An lobotomy was perform on Rosemary Kennedy when she was 23years old. Her father Joseph P. Kennedy made the decision without telling his wife which I never knew until now. After the surgery and operation was done. It was downhill from there, the young Kennedy was never the same. It did more harm to her than good. A sad tragic story on both . Rosemary Kennedy 1918- 2005. Kathleen Kennedy 1920-1948. That whole clan of brothers and sisters is gone. The last surviving member was Jean Kennedy Smith 1928-2020. Two Kennedy's had passed away in 2009. Edward Kennedy1932-2009 and Eunice Kennedy1921-2009. Today you have only three sisters in law living. Just to think two members of the Kennedy's family were killed in a plane crash during the war. Two were assassinated taken down by an assassin bullets in the 60'S about five years apart. The last remaining brother dies from brain cancer in 2009. The rest passed on from natural causes of old age except for the following Joe Jr, John, Robert, Kathleen Kennedy. The four oldest were born in 1915, 1917, 1918, 1920. None of the four lived to see 50years old.
No she didn’t when I visited…they put sheep in there at certain times of the year to “mow” the grass, it would be impossible to physically deal with the grass because of the slopes in the cemetery..so any flowers growing in there would get eaten by the sheep 🙂
lynda miller thank you. How interesting you’ve visited the grave. Do you live in Europe? Yes, I’m glad she is w/ her married family. Who knows if that marriage would have turned out if death hadn’t occurred……I would like to study more. Do you know much about her life? I want to k ow more about her sister Rosemary, too. Quite an unusual family, those Kennedy’s!
@@annelefevre9457 I live about an hour and a half away, I’m in Cheshire UK, the church is in Derbyshire UK. There is a very good book about Kathleen Kennedy that I bought from Chatsworth when I visited. Goes into great detail about her relationships with the Cavendish family and her marriage. But also how the Kennedys came to live over here for so long while their father Joe, was Ambassador.
She died in a plane crash and none of her siblings went to the funeral...including that bitch mother of hers didn't even go....only one person showed up....Her Father.....
