Looks great! you guys did outstanding! One thing though, sonic cd levels are based off exploration more than the normal classic formula... I do see that you are going by the original statement "Was cut because it was slow" In a sort of way, Sonic cd levels are very fast, normal classic sonic ones are slower/longer so yeah, the levels also feel a little crammed and the wood texture in the background feels weird.
I actually made this one lmao The mod is actually still W.I.P and I think I'll change something else in the forest and the level is not that slow, with normal gameplay you can complete it in 40-50 seconds (Like WWZ, TTZ, MMZ) Exploration is also present here, but on a smaller scale In any case, I will still be reworking this level design The mod has already been released on gamebanana btw
If you're interested I've been working on a layout archive for all the new layouts, the ones that are currently used have a link to them on the game banana page and I'm working on gathering and scanning all the unused layouts
Welcome to the start of the journey, this is where sonic 2 restored started, videos newer than this will have a change log by me,see ya around at the next video
@@saturnbuddy while sonic 2 archives and 2 Restored have the same general idea, they are not the same, sonic 2 Restored is separate project made for the 2013 version of the game (origins decomp)
