Chicago - South Bend on a CRJ200 is a lot shorter from what Ive experienced. From what I recall we were in the air for 16 minutes. Also flew MKE-CHI that was a couple minutes longer since we had to get in line for landing
Distance-wise, this one is shorter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dzYP01CPC6E.html They use a small prop plane, so it takes ~ 80-90 seconds for the short leg. In a jet, they'd probably only get up to 100-200 feet before immediately going into final approach- though it isn't like that itty-bitty airstrip could handle one of the big jets. Oddity routes are interesting. Thanks for posting.
Well, quite. The scheduled flight between the islands of Westray & Papa Westray in Scotland barely lasts a minute (the shortest journey recorded is less than a minute I understand) and is probably shorter than the runway at Chicago O’Hare. It is also busy with RU-vidrs filming the journey as the World's shortest scheduled flight, and I'm fairly sure it is the RU-vidrs' air fares that managed to keep it running. Here in the UK a 40 minute flight covers about 33% of the country - I once took a 40 minute flight and I think taking a train would have been quicker after the taxi transfers were taken into account.
@@horsenuts1831 they say that route is heavily subsidized by the government. There are some routes here that are like that, though maybe not to that extreme. O'Hare to Houghton County Memorial Airport (Michigan) is a subsidized route here in the US I'm aware of.
Hello, how are you my friend? That's an excellent video you made with aeroflot. I always wanted to travel on Aeroflot from Moscow to NY. how was their service ? How was their boeing 777? Also, are you russian american since I see that you made a lot of trips in Russia. Мне очень нравятся твои видео и твой канал на ютубе
Hello, I am not Russian unfortunately, however, I have been to Russia many times. Aeroflot's 777's are in a 3-4-3 configuration without much legroom, therefore it was somewhat uncomfortable. Service was relatively standard. спасибо большое :)
