There is one of these in Frostburg,Maryland which we rode down hill and enjoyed the scenery, it went for 10 miles and the only thing different was after the ride they bused you back to the parking lot on a country road. I think they called it Track and Yak, a little more than $49.00.
@@michaelpenn9533 We had no problems crossing the border. Nope, they did not look inside our vehicle. Pretty smooth we just answered their questions and they let us on our way. They asked about alcohol, drugs, and firearms. We had none and so that was not an issue.
@@candacefromtheroots We definitely loved it!!! We want to go back and spend more time!! You can squeeze in a lot in the 2 days on the island but jot much relaxing.
The Buffalo were brought to the island for an old western movie. Which ended up going bankrupt and they didn’t have the money to remove them so they left them. They are now part of the island. And are monitored by someone.
It’s most commonly referred to as a “Speeder” and they use to be used by the track maintenance crews/supervisor to check the rails for issues and or transport maintenance workers before they came up with the “high rail” concept of adding the railroad wheels on pickups.
Oh my goodness! When we ran into you at panther junction in big bend on your way to black gap, we had no idea you cleared out of your home in Georgia! What an exciting experience for you guys to do this - the blue jeep “struggle bus”
Check the national park website, other parks have the program. This is just the one closest to us, which was still a 2 hour drive. However we made a weekend of it and explored the Pisgah national forest close by. There’s so much to do in the area. You should vacation there sometime, if you like mountains and hiking it’s a dream!!!
We lived there for many many years, life estate. It was full time which is a challenge with no bridges or store or mail or anything and a 50% surcharge on electricity lol It was a moment in time though. Dub genesis was originally built by Nathaniel and Katy greens- might want to check that out. Not just the rich Carnegies.
What a find! Rescue Wagon suggested I check your channel out...I'm looking to learn ways to haul a yak, Vibe Sea Ghost, with a cargo trailer conversion and they said you mount yours on side...? And that was a great day on the water! Wow!
Best video i have seen of capelookout!! I have been watching alot of em lately.. we are planning on going next week.. my question is.. do i have to make a reservation to go to shackleford banks? Or does the boat just mAkes trips everyday from capelookout to shackleford??
If you want to take the ferry from Capelook out to shakleford, just get down to the lighthouse early and every time we have been you were able to get on the next ferry over. You guys will have a blast. Be sure to check out this years video. We kayak over this year. Also go early the horses head for shade as the day gets hot.
